China's monetary denomination has never been equal to that of the dollar,and neither is a lot of country's money.Are they like wise trying to dethrone the U.S. as the largest economy in the world.What makes you think all of a sudden they have devalued their money with the intent of hurting the United States with the intention of becoming heir to being the largest economy in the world.Where did you get that from -Trump ?The value of their dollar bill has never equalled the value of the U.S.s.The disparity in import export that exist between the U.S. and it's trade partners has always existed and every politician and business person knows this .I would venture to say that's the way they want it.This disparity creates the middle man,whom in this situation is Americans business. Every business man that has had "BUSINESS 101" knows that any time you have a middle man,the middleman takes his cut- and that it is a good thing to have a wholesaler such as China that has a drastic difference in price ine******y,and that a middleman inherently drives prices up.There is a middleman ( that being, American Businesses)therefore prices are driven up from their original values,and the middleman exploits the difference in value of their respective dollar bills ; this in-turn yields enormous profits for the middleman.
