I was born in 1943, and I was taught that on my first trip to a sporting goods store by my grandfather. He picked up a spinning real and pointed to the made in the USA stamped on it, and he said this is what we buy not cheap japanize stuff!
Long ago US companies should have been told if you move and make your product in another country you cant import into the USA sell it where you make it!

China has gotten past that, we gave the solar industry to them, now much of the cutting edge comes from China because we gutted our leading edge hold we had on it and now the engineering a development resides there.

Japan was synonymous with cheap copycat goods, until they actually took a lead in the state of the art electronics. Not to mention they were making better cars in a decade where our cars were junk.

Actually the Bush administration gutted a thriving industry by cutting subsidies to the industry and encouraging manufacturers to go overseas. Obama during his first and second year tried to enact over 25 bills that were designed to give the edge back to the US, the GOP obstructed and watered down much of them..."we" did do some things involving tariffs that were obfuscated with manufacturing parts for assembly here.

And I know all about the subsidy (or actually loan) to Solendra that went south, like no subsidized oil company ever went south.

China is the most dangerous country in the world right now.

For several years China has been abusing the United States on the economy, science and technology, and stealing our intellectual properties. Nobody among the prior presidents noticed that. Or even when they knew it, they ignored the gravity of the problems. Then problems metastasized and now China has overcome us or over powered us dominating our economy, and military power worldwide.

China has advanced planning taking power over the countries of the Pacific, and Japan has a reason to be concerned about it. China strategically took the islands of the Spratly and installed its military defense system there. They did not have the right doing that. But they did it with greater ambitions to dominate the Far East, and eventually moving to the north.

The emergence of president Trump has saved us from China's total control. This is however a very difficult task and takes lots of time and sk**ls to correct the problems that lingered for so long. President Trump will solve these problems.

The actions of president Trump against China is urgently needed, and the democrats don't understand why. Reasons why Obama had neglected and abandoned solutions to the problems for 8 years.

For these reasons, it is very important that president Trump gets re-elected in 2020. If a socialist democrat is elected, US will end up to a 3rd world country as now presently proven by democrat elected leaders of the states and cities they managed. They are all infested with poverty, homeless, infectious diseases, rats, drugs and drug addicts.

In addition, democrats want open borders to make them always the majority so they always win the e******n. The democrats will bring our country to a 3rd world socialism, and eventually into s***ery. They have already started. Do you like that?
