Greenland has its own government and when purchasing the island authority must come from the Greenland government and not the Danes.
Greenland at present does not have plans of selling the island but perhaps somedays the people and its leader may think about it for the betterment and development of the people.

Greenland has also its own leader who decides the status of the island. The leader of Greenland decides if they want to sell their island. Not Denmark. Currently leader of Greenland indicates that the island is not for sale. But somedays they may change their minds for the development of the island and betterment of the people. In 2017, it has only 56,171 population.
