I'm old enough to remember when free speech was easily discernible from cheap talk and so did the American people. Another blatant example how the Left will use/abuse the Constitution to facilitate their immoral agenda. Call something a "right" and the Left endorses it and especially if it's d*****t or disrespectful behavior towards America.

I don't pay big money to go to sporting events to hear l*****t anti-American propaganda. If I wanted to hear that nonsense I could just listen to you rattle on. If you insist on free speech at sporting events I would then welcome Trump to give a 15 minute speech on patriotism at our next Super Bowl. How would you like that free speech???

That would be funny and the left would gripe about it until the next Super Bowl.

Thanks my friend. I'm sitting here in a rehab hospital for the next two weeks where the therapists are intentionally pushing my physical limits. This is a good thing. Slipping back into the OPP fracas, good resisting evil, is better than watching TV. I think today marks my most active participation on OPP in several months. I'm thinking this site is as addictive as cigarettes.

It can be but it is good that you are up and about so to speak. Keep on healing and get back to full strength soon. I know many are looking forward to your posts as well.

If they pay their own way and are allowed to compete, then maybe they can use that platform for a protest. But as long as America, or some organization representing America is paying their way, we can and should make sure these athletes respect their country and those they are supposedly representing.

Come home and get on any podium you want and the press will acknowledge and make youprprotest on your own fame.

I think I agree with this one. Kaepernic would have had no platform except CNN, MSNBC, ALL THE TV STATIONS (maybe not Fox maybe yes), and I'm probably missing something but he wouldn't have taken ESPN down with him. Woosie owners.

Play the game, support your country.
Protest on your off time.
Sports is not the venue.
If you have no p***e for your U.S.A. team don't join the team.
Go somewhere and protest your ass off.

Sports fans don't pay all that money for tickets to receive a political message, they do so to enjoy the sport.

Same thing with other entertainment venues, award shows, etc.

If Kapaernik and others want to enjoy their freedom of speech, let them hold political rallies on their own time rather than forcing an admission charged captive audience to put up with their political messages.

Only an asshole would do that, and only an asshole would think it's okay.

If these athletes are representing the US. then by God, represent the US and leave your personal
view out of it.

Some people go to hockey games to watch the fights.

He goes to sporting events to watch the protests. :sm09
