To get re-elected, trump will need more than his base

The 2016 e******n proved that anyone can get elected POTUS.

But now that trump is running again, several facts are facing him.

Now he has a track record of performance, and the only positive is the economy, but trump has 16 months to screw that up..

And no matter who his opponent is, it won't be Hillary, and no one else will have her baggage.

And trumps constant and i***tic attacks on everyone who doesn't bow down to him, are driving his anti-Hillary v**ers away, which means bad news for him.

So unless trump can somehow double his rabid base, he will have trouble, no matter what his propagandists say, do, or tweet

Trump has undoubtedly lost chunks of people from several of his key demographic groups, can anyone make a case of any single group he already had that has increased? I don't see it.

I admire your positive attitude. Buck up. It will all be okay. This is pretty much the same message from 2016. Remember how well that worked out.

Not even the economy is in his favor. They make a big production about the good news and ignore the bad news. The coal industry is losing jobs not making new ones. Lowes, Sears, Kmart and others are closing stores at an increasing rate. Subtracting jobs lost and part time jobs from the labor statistics, gives us a negative job flow. The only people making money off the volatile stock market, are brokers and bankers, since every gain is followed with a loss.

This is the Democrats e******n to lose...................and they're doing a bang up job of doing just that.

Ok, so here’s the problem with your argument:

The only candidate on the dem side that is even remotely close to a centrist(someone a republican or most moderates, independents would v**e for) is sleepy, creepy, gaffey Joe: an old white guy!!!!!!!!!!!! I just don’t see how the dem party with their complete disgust of white males could ever nominate him. They might however, we will see. He’s too stupid to get elected though. Just saying.

So, that leaves the other 22 and they are ALL ELWNJ’s that just want to push us into socialism.......... not for our good, mind you, but to have complete dependence of the populous on old big brother!!!! Not one of them will get a single republican v**e and most likely will not get much of anything right of left center. I don’t think any of them can carry the whole dem party.

Y’all wanna beat trump you better figure out how to move away from the extreme left.

63 million v**ed against trump in 2016, and that number will increase. And the states of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania remove their corrupt republican governors, as well as Michigan, so trump cannot count on those states this time, plus both Texas and Florida have many more Hispanics that will v**e against him this time.

So anybody but Hillary looks damn good

I can make a case, have you seen the Democrat candidates?
To think, I thought the Republican debates were a total disaster/ clown show.
I'm mean seriously, how Hillary ever last to that man....
Now, the Dems have allowed their party to be straight high jack by the hyper-emotional wack jobs.
Its not looking good all the way around.

Better look at the cast the Dems are running.
Amazing isn't it?
We don't even elect the people we want anymore, we elect the people against the ones we don't.

You made my point for me, we will v**e against trump by v****g for the e*****rs in the e*******l college, and the republicans are losing representatives to retirement since they see the reality in their own istricts, plus there are 11 republican senators that will have a problem with their own re-e******n.

And we the people get to v**e directly for the representatives and senators, but not for the president,
which is going to be problematic for trump this time

You see this is why I am not scared of you Liberals. You spew out nonsense as if it was fact. If you are an example of the caliber of those who do the thinking on the left, you guys are in deep Obama.

Your problem is that you say junk and think that everyone on OPP is even more ignorant than you are. You think that none of us know about some of the points you bring up. You said that Pennsylvania removed it's corrupt Republican Governor since the e******n of 2016. As if that is why your girl Hillary lost Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania has a Democratic Governor who began serving on January 20, 2015.

When the dem candidate is chosen, Trump will start on the democratic platform of RAISING TAXES. That's all it will take. The dem candidate will have no choice but admit to stupidity or try to convince people that they will provide all the free stuff without raising taxes. LOL!
