There are states that allocate polling stations according to previous lines and expected v**er numbers, they do not have the newsworthy long lines. The problems we hear about are states where high population centers are having hours, stations, and machine numbers cut with an intention to increase lines and wait times. It isn't that hard to properly allocate to improve lines and wait times if an e******n board wants to.

But no v****g shouldn't be mandatory! In fact, I kinda like the Heinlein idea of having to first serve you country or community in some capacity to become an American citizen instead of American resident and get the franchise. Thus proving you actually care about your country or fellow citizen. But that would be unconstitutional.
