Questions on V****g.
In terms of participation, the United States ranks 122 worldwide.
1) Should we try to change it?
2) Initially, we were an agrarian society that had to travel to the county seat to v**e and for religious reasons couldn't travel on Sunday. That isn't the case today so wouldn't v****g on Saturday be better as it would make it easier to participate?
3) Should states be required to open more polls in order to shorten the waiting time?
4) Should we make v****g mandatory?

Haven't they already given up that privilege? Isn't that the problem as in a good year we have only a 50% participation rate...

Good idea. If all legal v**ers showed up for that $100, the bill would come to 13 trillion, 736 billion dollars, plus a smattering of about another 300 million. And that doesn't take into account the lost productivity, OR the cost to the business's for an extra holiday.

Only citizens could v**e as required in the constitution. But you want the 32 million illegal invaders to v**e. You want more of them coming into the US. The more the power increases. Illegal v****g has been happening already. Check that of Obama and Hillary wins.
Your followers are all socialist-democrats hoping for free stuff. Therefore when that happens, socialism-democrats will always win, with lifetime power for life.
Then what happens? America turns to black and brown. And the greedy socialist leader become so powerful and wealthy as the people became s***es. I though you h**e s***ery PeterS. But why to you clamor for it again? Socialism and c*******m are both ens***ement and that is the platform of the 20 socialist-democrats.
Lessen to them free stuff buying our v**es with the money of the people. Once they are in, beware, your freedom is curtailed and you now go back to ens***ement same as 400 years ago. Do you love that PeterS.?

You mean a poll tax. They tried that and I am pretty sure it is unconstitutional. How about we just move v****g to the first Saturday of November and increase the number of polls in each state.

No, you misunderstood, pay people to v**e.

Should not make v****g mandatory. Not v****g is a form of v****g (I can never understand why people treat v****g so trivially). Opening more polls would be helpful, but do municipality's have the budget? Like most people, I don't like waiting in lines, so I have v**ed absentee b****t in every national or local e******n since 1968.) I'm afraid v****g on Saturday would only guarantee less people v****g - hey, its their day off. However, declaring a national holiday for all federal e******ns (essentially every two years) could be worth exploring. It might not increase v****g immediately, but would over time gather steam as the v****g public would be more apt to v**e when it becomes a true grass roots national spectacle rather than one solely mainstream media driven as it is today.

Kevyn, have you really thought that proposal through? Why do you think that greater than 50% don't v**e? It is because they have no or next to no interest in politics or v****g! Do you want to persuade those people to come out and v**e when they have no knowledge or no interest in who runs the Country or how it is run? That would be tantamount to flipping a coin except it would be worse since that segment would be highly susceptible to influence from the media, government indoctrination centers (schools), Hollywood and their neighbors' opinions. Would it not be more desirable to educate our society in an unbiased way about our Constitution and how other countries have fared under various policies and forms of governing. I realize that this is a "pie in the sky" proposal since it would be difficult if not impossible to agree upon a method to accomplish this task. I would like to see some intelligent discussion around these kinds of issues rather than some of the "who kicked whose dog" or who can come up with the vilest names for their opponents. Maybe I'm dreaming.
