As you suggested, I "heard you out" by reading this reply of yours.

I generally don't find much worth in it.

One of the things you mention is the word "ANTI-CHRISTIAN". Even if I had not read this entire reply from you (and I did read it), that one word in all caps would give me a great big hint about where you stand and how much thinking you put into it.

I can see that religion(s) has something to do with your thinking. So I'll try to get down to something fundamental about that: Have you read the entire Bible? Have you read the entire Koran? How did you choose Christianity over Islam? Now the next kind of question: Have you looked at the history of what "Christian" people have done in the world, and also the history of what "Muslim" people have done in the world? Did you find that one of those two major groups was good and the other wasn't? I know a little history, and it's not hard to see that people bearing the mantle of "Christianity" have done some really awful things in the world, not just as individuals, but institutionally, and sometimes institutionally _as_ _Christianity_, and for rather long periods of time. I don't mean to say Christianity is the only bad group; I'm just saying, your constant blaming of so much on "Muslims" doesn't convince me of anything.

The logic about nationalism is similar to the logic about religions. American exceptionalism (that America is the good country (as some say, _the_ country blessed by God to lead the world)) is mostly a false myth and has been since at least a hundred years ago and probably from the very beginning.

This may appear a bleak outlook; but it's not. Have faith in t***h, wh**ever it turns out to be.

(As for me, I say that God is benign (neutral or good), not malignant (bad). This belief allows one to have faith in t***h, wh**ever it turns out to be.)

If you insist on only focusing on some "Christian" perspective, then consider this one: that Jesus studied Judaism and asked very challenging questions about it; that Jesus was against hypocrisy; that Jesus was very understanding of people whom the religious leaders were condemning; and that Jesus was very critical of the religious leaders of the Judaism of his time and place. That was a big part of his own culture that he had grown up with: that Judaism.

I realize that I won't make much of an impact on most readers here (nor anywhere else, maybe), but this is a forum where anybody might be reading, and occasionally either (A) someone might benefit from what I'm saying here, or (B) someone might pick up on something I said and either (1) express it better or (2) give a credible rebuttal to it. Besides all that relatively noble idea, I admit that I just like to express myself and explain things; it seems to be in my personality, so I get entertainment value out of this.

Essentially, yes occasionally I admit things and update my thinking. I did a little of that on OPP a few days ago. Not often on OPP though, because the people are usually so insulting (not just to me but about other people and groups of people) and most posts don't show much to learn from.

And by the way I'm not looking for any apology. Feedback is good though.

actually, turned off the 1st night and the 2nd night was hilarious...they have a lot to work on. I
am a Republican and proud to be one. I detest this h**e that comes down to us in America every single
day when the Liberals constantly attack a President who was found innocent of all the money that
the FBI tried to "get him!" We will wait until it is ALL over "when the fat woman sings!" We do hope and
pray that this SOCIALIST GARBAGE does not take over our REPUBLIC. We are a Republic, you know.

State too...maybe some kind of "foreign student" like Obama...while married to her brother and the

Such enthusiasm! One place I noticed was Lev 25 which tells some about how they handled land ownership. Then there's I Cor which has such a contrast between chapters 11 and 13. My favorite is Genesis, not having to do with whether I believe it or not (and not having to do with whether I like what the characters do, or not), but just because it's such a great story: so much going on in it.

Nancy Pelosi has done pretty well -- better than the President has done. She's got enough intelligence. And steam. However, her safe, conservative process may try our patience sometimes. Any conservative Congressperson, not just Nancy Pelosi, could easily be scared of some of these new progressives who are willing to be more outspoken and take faster actions.

Not that I mean to stereotype all white men; I'm one, and I haven't done any mass shooting nor started any wars lately. I just meant that it _happens_ to be mostly _some_ Conservative white men who do those things, so that what you wrote doesn't fit together well.

CAIR can be counted on to appear and aggressively protest, often using the courts, whenever some new policy for protecting Americans from jihadi terrorists is implemented.

Their "American-Islamic Relations" shtick is a taqiyya cover for the equivalent of holding our arms behind our backs while their terrorist friends throw punches.

Several of their officers have, over the years, been deported for having direct ties to Hamas.

Being a pre-programed anti-Israel "Progressive," I'm sure you enjoyed the meeting, getting to rub shoulders with individuals who are actually close friends with and supporters of explosive device makers, decapitators, users of women and children as human shields and who knows? Maybe you even had the opportunity to chat with real live terrorists.

Due to civil wars that began in 1991, by 1993, thousands of Somalis had been k**led, Somalia's agriculture had been destroyed and 300,000 Somalis had died of starvation. The international community began to send food supplies to halt the starvation, but vast amounts of food were hijacked and brought to local clan leaders, who routinely exchanged it with other countries for weapons. An estimated 80 percent of the food was stolen.

The Rangers and Delta were sent there to arrest Mohammed Farrah Aidid, the warlord who was responsible for most of the deaths and starvation and who was about to install himself as the president of Somalia. It was called Operation Restore Hope.

It was entirely a humanitarian effort. What was on the Rangers' minds was they had orders to do a job, they knew the purpose of their mission. That was all that mattered. The troops weren't there to "visit", or to "understand", or to conduct some kind of cultural study or undergo diversity training.

And, yeah, Rangers are trained to k**l when necessary. In October 1993, it was necessary. Aidid's m*****a made gave them no choice. They lost 18 men doing so.

And, you're one of those fools who thinks that a woman who spent the most formative years of her life in an environment of such strife was able to undergo some sort of metamorphosis and purge all of that. Ilhan Omar has not by any stretch assimilated into our American way of life, she brought all that s**t with her. She is undoubtedly a pro-Sharia, anti-Semitic Muslim. She has no freaking business bringing that influence into our government.
