We will likely have to secure the Canadian border as well sometime in the future, and that will be one helluva big wall! as for as clandestine aircraft coming into the USA over the east and west coastlines, shoot down any unidentified aircraft over the water before they cross our shores. Maybe if we get the southern border problem solved we will reduce the need for serious protection on other borders due to the example we set.

We could not build the wall unless Congress provide appropriation. If we want to secure our country from invasion, we must first put Congress in 2020, to GOP control. The wall will be funded. Then we could build.

Democrats will not fund the wall. They want the wall open to all people of the world. They want more people on their side. Their vision for our country is Socialism/C*******m which the antithesis of Capitalism.

The 2020 e******n will paint a clear picture of where America is.

Either Trump’s America First policies win or the Democrats’ socialist open borders policies do.

And the Supreme Court is about the make the decision that will decide the 2020 e******n.

Securing the country is the most important job of the U.S. government.

But for many years, government officials have been ignoring that duty.

Instead, they are allowing i*****l i*******ts to flood over the border in historic numbers.

Once inside, they commit violent crimes, putting U.S. citizens at risk.

All of this can be stopped if simple steps are taken to secure the border.

A huge step towards national security is building a wall on the border.

Israel has a wall separating them from violent forces surrounding them, and it works very well.

But Democrats claim that the same won’t work in the United States.

They claim that it’s too costly, and won’t actually do much to secure the border.

But when the costs of i*****l i*********n are taken into account, that simply isn’t true.

I*****l i*********n costs the U.S. taxpayers more than $200 billion a year and is only getting worse.

In recent months, there have been upwards of ten times more i*****l m*****t apprehensions than there was in the last year of former President Barack Obama’s presidency.

That is over 100,000 a month.

This number is partially due to economic improvement making the United States more appetizing to i*****l i*******ts, but it is also clear that President Trump is kicking border patrol into gear.

He is even convincing Mexico to kick things up with their efforts to secure the border on their side.

But these are only temporary efforts.

A wall is the only way to ensure America stays secure.

So far Democrats have been insistent that they will not let Trump build his wall.

That’s why Trump is instead working with the Pentagon and other government agencies to secure the funding through unallocated funds.

He has been able to acquire billions in funding this way.

But a federal judge just ruled that he cannot use $2.5 billion of that funding.

That $2.5 billion is being re-allocated from Defense Department counter-narcotics activities, and considering how much of a deterrent a wall will be to drug traffickers, it is money well spent.

U.S. District Judge Haywood Gilliam, who is an Obama appointee, smacked Trump with the news last month.

But now Trump is fighting back, with his Administration going to the Supreme Court to request a new review of the decision, citing the fact that the funding would help in counter-narcotics activities.

“The practical significance of the decision below for the government’s drug-interdiction efforts would weigh strongly in favor of further review,” the government’s stay application to the high court reads.

“The decision prevents the Department of Defense from taking steps to support the Department of Homeland Security that the acting secretary of defense determined to be ‘necessary in the national interest’ to stanch the flow of illegal drugs across the southern border,” it adds.

Do you support building a wall on the border?

Lonewolf, what you say is not exactly true, but much more could have been done already if the Dems and rhinos had agreed to fund a necessary wall. Even so, he has managed to get the following accomplished;

A number of contracts have been awarded since Trump took office, funded by appropriations from Congress for the 2017 and 2018 fiscal years.

Among them: Nearly $300 million to build 40 miles of replacement structures in multiple locations. These consist of both pedestrian walls and vehicle barriers. As of December 21, 35 of those 40 miles had been completed, according to Andrew Meehan, CBP’s assistant commissioner for public affairs.

Appropriations last year provided $1.375 billion in funding to build 82 miles of new and replacement barriers in multiple locations across the border, Meehan said. Of that funding, $700 million has gone to contracts for construction of new and replacement wall systems, he said, and another $300 million “is ready to award as soon as the government reopens.” The rest of the money, Meehan said, “supports CBP project management to include real estate, environmental, legal and program management support and will be obligated over the duration of the projects.”

Called a levee wall system, the project includes the construction of a reinforced concrete levee wall, 18-foot-tall steel bollards installed on top of the concrete wall, and vegetation removal along a 150-foot enforcement zone. The price tag: $312 million.

And if the Trump administration’s proposal for $5.7 billion more for a border wall is approved, officials say they’ll be able to build 234 miles of new and replacement barriers — about 100 miles of which will cover parts of the border that didn’t have a barrier before.

Absolutely! Put up video cameras to watch every inch of the border, and thousands of people sitting at screens in a huge warehouse, watching for a violator sneaking in across this 1,954 mile frontier. And thousands more in vans waiting for word from the video watchers to 'go get 'em!'. At 100,000 a month, that's only 3,000 a day - that we know of. So let's crunch some numbers:

A good infrared video camera is good for probably 300 yards. That equates to approximately 6 per mile, at 1,954 miles, the southern border would need roughly 11,700 cameras.

Generally speaking, a good security system can display 6 camera feeds per monitor, necessitating 1,700 monitors.

These monitors would have to be watched, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If each 'watcher' does an 8 hour shift, that's 1,700 X 3 = 5,100 pairs of eyes, plus reliefs for breaks and meals, rounding it up to 6,000.

As already established, the southern border currently sees an average of 3,000 illegal crossings every day. But that is not consistent. There are not 3,000 i******s per day. Rather, there may be 2,000 one day and 4,000 the next, averaging 3,000 over the period. And then there are the 'exceptions', where a whole 'caravan' of i******s arrives, trying to overload the system, such as happened several times over the last couple of years. 10,000 in a single day. Considering the average 'paddy wagon' handles 6 individuals, that's 1500 vehicles, and 3,000 personnel to operate them. This is also a 24/7/365 operation, thus requiring 9,000 personnel.

From this we get 6,000 + 9,000 = 15,000 'frontline' personnel. Add in maintenance, support, supervisory, management, administration, and we might well be looking at 20,000 to 25,000 people.

The average pay for a CBP agent is $35.00 per hour. Taking this as an average for these 'new' employees, we have an annual payroll of between 1.5 and 1.8 billion dollars, not including initial equipment/accommodation and ongoing maintenance costs.

It's a cash cow, pure and simple. Better to build a "big, beautiful wall, with a big, beautiful gate", and save literally billions. but get the same levels of security.

I totally agree...because obviously the soft pedalling we've been doin at the southern border isn't enough...the i******s at the border as well as congress needs to know we are serious about this crap... Build that wall!! maybe even include watch towers with armed guards ready to shoot anyone attempting to cross illegally.. the ones that want to be legal legitimately go to their countries consolate!

Of course, no one is carrying drugs across the border.

What does a submarine filled with drugs have to do with a border wall???

You must be a special person to ask such a question..

Puzzle on it for an afternoon or so..

You still will not know but will use some time..

Ask, Braitbart or Fox.. they will divert you to something else and you will forget all about walls and subs..
