I am not familiar with that brand so don't know if it is a grain free food or not but I will warn you. they are finding more and more problems with the grain free foods, and a lot of dogs are not doing well on them. I would suggest that you avoid them at all costs, and stick with one of the better brands of canned or dry. We use Purina Sensitive Skin and Stomach on all of our adults, and a puppy formula on the puppy until around a year old.We do mix it with some cat food to keep them eating, and some goats milk when they are puppies. Our new puppy arrived today, another Cane Corso, black brindle with a little white on his chest. Haven't named him yet, but he is a very active little guy. "little" means 10 weeks and about 30 pounds, his sire is 142 pounds in show weight and his mother 121, so he will be a big guy.

Yep.. I've been reading about this whole thing regarding grain.. first its' good then it's bad.. then it's good again...kinda reminds me of the incredible edible egg... first it's great.. then its the devil that will cause a heart attack then it's back to good again.. I think there are good and bad grains.. it's just about doin the research.. Joy just went to the vet last week, and got a clean bill of health!..I adopted her in march of 2016 after my brindle akita passed she had stomach torsion and bloat..I Listened to a gf of mine she told me to feed P.K. twice a day..just split what she was eating in to morning and night.. I had always fed all my dogs in the evening when they were done rough housin..first time and last time I fed her that way....15 min after eating she was howling..I took one look at her and knew what was up...got her to the vet pronto.. but ended up having to put her down she was JUST shy of 7 years old..Joy, new furbaby was only about 4 months old.., at last weigh in she was 52.6 lbs..and is 3 years n change..

The new kid on your block sounds adorable!!.. chuckles when ever I get info overload.. or have to calm down from wh**ever.. I go post wolves & puppies!!

Some breeds are prone to bloat, the Cane corso is one of those so the two adults Zeus and Tank are fed twice a day, water in their food soaked for 15 minutes before feeding and not allow to ruff house for about an hour after meals. The Welsh Terrier and the Staffordshire Bull terrier are not of breeds that bloat, but they also get fed two times a day, so as not to hurt their feelings, The puppy will be fed 4 times a day until 9 months then 3 times a day until he is 18 months when he will go on the adult schedule. We have always had a number of dogs, each serves his unique purpose as a therapy dog for abused boys, but each is a charmer in his own right. The puppy will start next week visiting the neighbors goats just to get used to them. He will also start obedience training this week. The older dogs take their turns at the VA hospital and visiting the senior citizens center.
Yes they are all males, the adults have been neutered. The Welsh terrier finished his championship first and has been collected, so the breeder has a couple of Chao's puppies she is starting to show.in conformation.

I am impressed!.. cool schedule.. do you by chance train as well.. Very cool! I am still in the "training phase" with Joy.. My furbaby is a mixed breed Husky/Poodle or Bearded Collie...although for the most part between her fur and shedding.. digging.. verbalizing..she exibits more husky traits than the other two breeds..lol. I live mostly alone.. she seems, I swear to God, to know what I am saying or wanting and I mostly can figure out what she needs or wants.. and she is VERY vocal about letting me know!..Also, sadly, I was lazy about checking this feeding twice a day, and so I thought it was about portion, not activity.. had I known, after I fed her that she wasn't supposed to rough house.. she might of not died..Thing is...it's quite difficult to "rough house" in my back yard due to someone.. before I bought the place, laid out both front and back yard with cobble size rocks..ankle turnin suckers..and stone bruises not to mention no company, she was an only "child" so I didn't see really rough housing..

Yes, I have run training classes for years, normal obedience and rally class and sometimes a class in barn hunt. I don't show in conformation but both NPP and I show in obedience.

Cool!..I guess I am what is called an "anthropomorphic" when it comes to my dog...I talk to my dog I figure she knows what I'm saying because she does what I ask her to..Most of the time..

Normally an outside dog, but brought mine in. Heat index 112 here.

We brought one of our outside cats in for two nights so far. Judging by the sounds, the cats aren't too happy with each other, but you're right, it is better than the heat and last night there was a storm.
