What good is a employee who lives on the on the street do they show up clean look rested
When. The minimum wage was enacted president Roosevelt said that any company that needed to pay less than a living wage had no place in America!
I have always if someone works 40 hours a week they should be able to have a roof over their head.

It should be a free market which means that what the market can bear that should be the wage. Some jobs are not worth $15.00 per hour and thus will be discontinued or the business will close its doors and all of the employees will lose their jobs.

Any, and I mean
any government interference into the marketplace, whether it be in pricing, structure, management or supply controls, will never end well. These people are not demigods. They have no inkling how prices are set or how capital equipment is accumulated. Forcing businesses to pay employees any amount, no matter how high or low, will put people put of work. Period. If the job does not reimburse the employer, by
at least the cost of the employee (including government mandated insurances and regulatory overhead), the job will cease to exist and the employee becomes unemployed, not making any wage at all. Personally, I'd prefer to be making $8 an hour and feeding myself than making $0 and sucking on the government teat.

How about letting the business owner run his business and employees decide if they want to work there or not and get the government out of the middle and mucking it all up. One size doesn't fit everyone.

This is just the first part of their 'get out the v**e' effort for next year. The real kicker is that those who actually do make it to $15 will v**e for them, and those who lose their jobs will blame Trump and also v**e for them. The even better news, for them, is that the Senate will not pass this carbuncle on the face of humanity and those who keep their jobs will continue making less than $15 an hour, blame the Republican Senate for them not making $15 an hour and v**e Democrat.
Just another busy day in Washington...

Sounds good to me
I would include allowing a business owner to decide if they want to allow smoking or not...

Um, they already do that. Many decline to even have a room in the building for smokers to get their nicotine fix. They are literally required to leave the property before lighting up.
