Why is President Donald Trump so popular among Americans?
He’s not. He’s the first president in history whose disapproval ratings have always been higher than his approval ratings.
That said, about 42% of the country thinks he’s wonderful, which is… horrifying.
But here’s the thing. When he accepted the Republication nomination in 2016, his approval rating was 42%. Everything that has happened — both good and bad — in the three years since has essentially had no impact whatsoever on his popularity.
Americans either love him or h**e him, and his policies have almost nothing to do with that.
The core of his support is evangelical Christians, which is pretty funny given that he’s violated all 10 of those Commandments. They are also the people most likely to think America is changing culturally in ways that will reduce their status. To them MAGA t***slates to “Let’s go back to the days when we ran the show and everyone else knew their place.”
He also does well with the aggrieved. There are a lot of Americans who think “other countries have been ripping us off” and love it when he tariffs everyone from China to Canada. They’re not interested in the reality that tariffs are a tax on Americans. They’re not doing it for the revenue, they’re doing it to show the world who’s boss.
And then there’s a group that enjoys “owning the libtards.” They think it’s fun to watch trump trash mainstream news, the FBI, the State Department, all Dems, the “elites” (even though Trump inevitably goes on to claim he’s more elite than they are), etc.
Running through all three groups is anger and a desire for dominance. And that’s a pretty good description of Donald J. Trump.

I find it interesting how after almost three years you haven’t stopped crying yet. First of all, we all have a right to our own beliefs, and that even includes conservatives. Even Evangelical Christians have a right to believe what they want and v**e for who they want. What I find offensive is how your always telling why people that v**ed for Trump, v**ed for Trump. You don’t know me or how I think.
I do happen to think he’s a wonderful President though. When he ran for president, he made promises, and everyday, I see him out there fighting to keep those promises. What I saw with Obama was just the opposite. He made a bunch of promises during the campaign, and when he got elected, with the exception of Obamacare, all the promises went down the drain. His red line in Syria was a total lie. Trump makes things happen. Obama talked a lot. He read a great speech.
I believe Trump has a higher approval rating than 42%. I think a lot of people don’t admit they support Trump because they think they will be called r****t, but, come E******n Day, they will pull the lever for Trump. Where is Hillary’s rating, plus Trump, is at the same rating as Obama was at this point in his first, term.
I am a Christian, and I think Make America Great Again means getting back to good values, not trying to abolish Christianity, God and Judeo Christian values, respecting each other, regardless of who or what we are or aspire to be, being the biggest world military power responsibly, being a nation of laws, leading the way in the world, not leading from behind and always apologizing for our country, leading our own way into space again, a healthy and thriving economy for everyone, national p***e, education and medical breakthroughs. These are the type of things Trump supporters want, not the nonsense w***e s*******y crap you and your h**eful friends on the left are pushing.
Would you mind, or at least try to explain to me, why it is that even though you know you are pushing a false narrative, you and your leftie friends keep on sticking with this same story, even though you, know it is bad for the country. You are willing to let the country get torn to pieces, rather than just accept the results of an e******n. You talk about, horrible!
