I'm not "feeling it," Bro. Never have. Prayed for it with the sincerest of childlike, heartfelt prayers each of the three times I was baptized. Waited decades, still praying. Now I've concluded that my disbelief is an accurate reflection of the true state of affairs.
Honest to your touchy feely God!
Actually you are only seeing half the picture.
Are you aware you are saying I should affirm what is to me a false assertion? Risk my word, my bond, my honor, my touchstone to reality and all there is by asserting the lie that I believe that which cannot be perceived, only purported by others?
The bible God, it is stated, h**es liars and luke warm affirmations of faith make it wanna puke.
So, this is the best I can do to honestly get its attention if it actually were to exist. I don't know what it would take to actually convince me, but I'm betting an omnipotent and omniscient being would.
Tired of waiting and a little salty about it.
Trying to get on and stay content, if not happy, with what appears to be the last little bit of life available to a human individual.
Doing okay, mostly, these days.
