I would like to add to my comment regarding the first of your essays concerning the founding of our Republic.
Both my Paternal (Carson) ancestors and my Maternal (Braun/Brown) ancestors fought for our independence.
For their service, Carsons were granted land in Southwest Virginia by President Washington and they prospered there.
Brauns (later anglicized to Brown) moved further West into Tennessee where they also prospered.
During the War Between The States, both families sent sons to fight to protect their homes and families from the invaders.
Carson and Browns served during both World Wars.
I would like to add one true story about the Carsons. My Great-Grandfather and three of his Sons (one of which was my Grandfather) served in the Confederate Army. My Great-Grandfather and one of my Great-Uncles were k**led at Gettysburg and another Great-Uncle was k**led at the battle of Petersburg shortly before the surrender at Appomatox. My Grandfather survived the war but died two-years after the war ended in 1867. My Father was born on 4 July 1866. He was 60-years old when I was born on 12 July 1926.
One more observation. During the war, my Grandmother (with s***es) maintained their farm in Grayson County, Virginia. None of the Negroes deserted her and after the war most
of them stayed and worked for room and board. In the years following my Grandmother was forced to sell most of the land to pay taxes assessed by the "Reconstructionists."

"Reconstructionists " must have been tax and spend liberals.

Sir, again thanks for such beautiful heritage you have. Every cell and DNA of your body consist of the great sacrifices that made our country great today. I think you should write a book for that. And the book will still part of history.

The Reconstruction of the South was needed after the devastations caused by the Civil War. The South needed to reconstruct and be part of the Union again.

Thanks for the compliment. I certainly am extremely proud of my heritage and the manner in which my ancestors extended their patriotism into laying their lives on the line for America.
As for Reconstruction, Carpetbaggers and corrupt politicians did everything in their power to punish the South and prevent actual "Reconstruction." They sucked everything they possibly could out of what was left of the Southern economy which created a tremendous hatred for the "damn yankees" for generations to come.
But don 't forget, come future conflicts, Southern boys embraced their Country with great sacrifice and patriotism. I know. I was born, raised and educated in the North (The Black Hills of South Dakota) and during my years in the Army, I found that fellow-soldiers from the South made most-welcome comrades.
Please don't misinterpret my observations.

Thanks. That include General Lee, one of the best generals, who was faithful to the South.

I am convinced that your teachings in history will revive the love and patriotism of many in this OPP. I know your own group has the same sentiment for the love of our country.

Thank you, Radiance, very kind of you to say.

History is very interesting. But first we must master our own US history then perhaps someday we touch into the Greek philosophers Plato, Aristotle, and Socrates. And it even comes interesting when we touch the Medieval Age in Europe from the 11th century run via the King's feudal rule, and its relationship to the Roman Empire.

Excellent idea! Perhaps we shall.

This is just a preview.
The age of Feudalism in Europe. The hierarchies are in order. The Kings, Nobles, Barons, Knights, the religious order and down, the serfs.

And then there is one above the King. Who was that? The Pope. The King could not fully function without the confirmation and blessings of the Pope.

Hello everyone!
Just letting you all know, tonight’s essay will be delayed by about an hour or two, hoping less, as I’ll be traveling and won’t reach my destination before 10pm. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you for the coming sequel. This will be a great reminiscence of our history. Happy readings to all.

I decided to postpone the next essay so that OPP members may absorb the facts of the cases involving the mass shootings in Texas and Ohio. The next essay will be posted tonight around 10pm.

Our thoughts and prayers to the victims of each tragedy.
