Sin is like morphine, or heroine for it is habit forming. Therefore, one who engaged in sin, is like a drug user. It is very hard for a sinner to break the habit.
To be completely forgiven of the sin, the sinner must put away the sin, and tendency to sin, and change their lives.
A former homosexual will be like an exsmoker in the respect that they will condemn the act with more zeal than a non homosexual.
Remember do not condemn the sinner. The sinner is ens***ed with in the sin. Human compassion for the sinner can help bring the sinner out of s***ery. That freedom is called redemption.
Now sinners can be of any faith. But for the sinner to find God or Christ lest still sin, is described by St Paul as a Luke warm believer.
