My mother literally put me in a harness with a lock on it and leashed me to the clothes line. This was early 50's Mississippi, I was the oldest, about 5 and wild as heck. She also had 3 other kids to manage. Similarly mom and my 3 sibs were flying some where and she had two babies in her arms and me on my leash. A woman came up to her and began to chastise her. Her response was to hand her the leash and tell her to manage me, shut that busybody right up. I remember being scared because the exhaust coming out of the engines made me think the plane was on fire. Again in the early 50's. Mike
