Seth.. I left California in 2016 after my hubby passed.. I am in Fallon, NV now.. All I can do is cringe at Cali.. I was born and raised there..it's gone to s**t.. and it is a misnomer that CA is all liberal.. it's not.. the "silent majority" conservatives are rural.. and sometimes quite removed from a township or even elderly living in the toolies and to get to a polling place is difficult.. so they are a helluva lot more "Disinfranchised" than urban folks screaming they are "Disinfranchised" where there is most likely a polling place every few blocks..I had to leave CA.. Have lived in Reno several times and Alameda for 2 yrs ex-husband was in the military I now live in Georgia and love it here beautiful country so it's good we all find our spot for when we retire. I think there may be a short quarantine, to Make sure they were all good.. the way they are coming in now, is putting American's at serious risk!!.

I have a good friend in facebook.. and in the place I DJ as a hobby called second life.. People from all over the world are in this virtual community. anyway.. my friend is VERY liberal.. a Bernie Sanders fan... He and I have conversations all the time.. but we are also adults and can agree to disagree and walk away still friends.. I think it's kinda tragic that some folks actually unfriended other friends based on political beliefs on BOTH sides of the isle... It wasn't just Liberals.. conservatives were also removing ppl from their contacts.. sad really.. my personal opinion regarding social media, is that the climate got VERY hostile and actually More hostile as years went by.. the e******n seasons on social media have gotten progressively uglier..

For many people social media is a good thing.. keeps us in touch with our families and friends scattered all over the globe.. so Now ppl have a voice.. and by gawd they use that voice, to bully..to rake ppl over the coals.. politics on social media and a LOT of arm chair politicians.

Just say that social media..has a hostile side but it's NOT all about hostility..some folks can actually have a productive dialog in facebook.. really the only social media I'm on.. other than second life, which could I suppose I could say that second life is a bit of social media..

Thank you.. I am sorry for your loss as well.. it does indeed leave a hole...Life is mostly ok.. I have breast cancer But have been through treatment just waiting to see if the chemo/radiation did the job.. otherwise life is decent..no complaints really.. I own my home outright.. no mortgage.. that itself makes it a lot easier to deal.. and the Property taxes in this county are obscenly low.. I've got a great furbaby.. my one and only "child".. decent car that runs well.. nice friendly town to live in..
