Haynes is spelled with a "y" not an I.

UNDERWEAR IS IMPORTANT

If you don't laugh out loud at this one, I give up... Always wear clean underwear in public, especially when working under your vehicle...From the Hamilton Spectator Daily News comes this story of a Burlington couple who drove their car to Walmart, only to have their car break down in the parking lot. The man told his wife to carry on with the shopping while he fixed the car in the lot. The wife returned later to see a small group of people near the car. On closer inspection, she saw a pair of male legs protruding from under the chassis. Although the man was in shorts, his lack of underpants turned private parts into glaringly public ones. Unable to stand the embarrassment, she dutifully stepped forward, quickly put her hand UP his shorts, and tucked everything back into place. She then took a deep breath and stood up boldly to face the crowd. When she looked across the hood, she found herself staring at her husband, who had been standing idly by. The mechanic, however, had to have three stitches in his forehead.

When I was young and drove junkers, I was under many cars. Somehow I never had anyone mess with my junk. Although, I once had my car in gear and touched the leads on the starter and almost had it jump off of the jack stands on top of me. My underwear wouldn't have been clean very long.

You wouldn't need any underwear then.

Dangerous. A classmate of mine in high school was k**led when his car fell on top of him while working on it.

I lost a cousin like that in the 1960s.

A year ago I was helping a buddy replace a brake line on a Honda. He had a driveway rig holding up the car, real crude set up. Luckily, he placed a cement block under the axle, and when the car fell off the jack stand, the block saved his life. Wasn't hurt too badly, just bruises and cuts and an aching belly.
