Verse of the Day for Sunday, June 21, 2020

... I will celebrate before the LORD.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
David was ridiculed for his exuberance as he rejoiced with dancing at the Ark of the Covenant's return home. He refused, however, to be deterred by such criticism. The ark's return was a reason for celebration. His God was the only true and living God. His God had given him victory after victory from dangerous foes. His God has preserved His people through all sorts of hardships and difficulties over a long history of challenges, oppression, wandering, and battling. David was determined he would and delighted he could celebrate before the Lord. Shouldn't we?

My Prayer...
Lord God Almighty, full of grace and mercy, awesome in power and holiness, you are my joy, my hope, and my future. I rejoice in you as the only One, and the only thing, worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

How appropriate of a verse since today is my birthday.

Verse of the Day for Monday, June 22, 2020

Thus Noah did; ; according to all that, God commanded him, so he did.- Genesis 6:22

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Noah was described as a righteous man, blameless in his generation, who walked with God and did all that the Lord commanded him (Gen. 6:9, 22). Can you think of a higher honor? I'm not sure what they will write on my headstone when I pass from this life to be with Jesus, but I surely would love to be worthy of what was said of Noah in this verse! How about you?

My Prayer...
Holy God, I fully acknowledge that I am saved by your grace and not because of any great or righteous thing that I have done. At the same time, Father, I surely do want to honor you with my life and show others the difference your loving kindness makes in the life of your children. Bless me please, dear Father, to be more worthy of this description of Noah. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Verse of the Day for Tuesday, June 23, 2020

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
—Romans 6:23

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
If we get paid what we deserve, we're not going to like our wages. On the other hand, God, who is rich in mercy and grace, gives us his gift because of the sacrifice of Jesus and not what we deserve. I don't know about you, but that surely does make me want to serve him more passionately and faithfully!

My Prayer...
Glorious and gracious Father, holy and perfect in every way, thank you that your sacrificial grace bridges the great gulf between your righteousness and my imperfection. Thank you for the gift of eternal life. May my mortal life be holy and pleasing to you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Verse of the Day for Friday, April 12, 2019

H**e evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts. Perhaps the LORD God Almighty will have mercy on the remnant of Joseph. —Amos 5:15

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

While we teach our children that we must not h**e people, we also must teach them to loathe injustice, evil, prejudice, and the mistreatment of the weak. Amos reminded Israel that God demands justice be administered fairly for both rich and poor, resident and alien. Their repeated refusals of God's will in these areas brought destruction upon their land despite their apparent affluence and power in Amos' day.

My Prayer...

Holy God, I know you are furious at the injustice in so many lands and are enraged at the ethnic hatred setting our world ablaze. Please make your people, your Church, a place of justice, equity, compassion, love, racial healing, and hope. Please begin in my heart and with my hands to build this better world. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Can the USA use some Law and Order?
Witness what is going on across America, in Democrat controlled cities.

Marxism/C*******m Sucks
Why?
Destruction sucks
Godless evilness sucks
Chaos sucks
S***e camps suck
Mass murder sucks
R**ting sucks

People better v**e, and v**e accordingly.
Which direction will america go?
Right or Left?

November 3'rd will decide.

It's very difficult to change Minds when they've been brainwashed into believing that government is the solution.
There should be enough independent thinkers to keep Trump for four more years then we'll be done.

Verse of the Day for Wednesday, June 24, 2020

Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
- Ephesians 6:24

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Ephesians makes some of the greatest declarations in the entire Bible about the grace of God. This one, however, may be the very richest. Grace is offered to us whether we accept it or not. But, grace is with us in rich abundance and blessing as we love Jesus and hang on to his love with a grip of faith that is unwavering.

My Prayer...
Holy Father, I do love you and your Son Jesus with all my heart. Forgive me when my display of this passion dims and my communication of his grace to others lags. Rekindle in me an unquenchable desire to show my love for Jesus in all that I do and say. In his name, Jesus, your Son, I pray. Amen.

Verse of the Day for Thursday, June 25, 2020

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? - Matthew 6:25

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
God gives beauty to the flowers and life to grass. In the grand scheme of things, these are t***sitory and insignificant. He sent his Son from Heaven to save us. So, he most definitely is going to give us what we need until we go home to live with him!

My Prayer...
Loving Father and Almighty God, forgive my distraction over temporal things. I do believe that you have given me everything I need in Jesus and in the gracious abundance of your blessings. In the precious name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Verse of the Day for Friday, June 26, 2020

26 I make a decree, That in every d******n of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his d******n shall be even unto the end.

27 He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. - Daniel 6:26 - 27

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
If a foreign King in the days of the Old Testament can recognize how grand and glorious our God is, surely those of us who have received his grace through Jesus can rejoice in him and give him praise!

My Prayer...
Father God, you are glorious and awesome. Your rule is true, righteous, and eternal. You keep your promises and generously send forth your blessings. You alone are truly holy, awesome in your splendor and might. I praise you and thank you in the name of Jesus my Lord. Amen.
