[Jesus said] "You are the light of the world. Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." — Matthew 5:14-16

Thoughts on Today's Verse....

Our life will not be neutral. We will either point others away from God or show them that allegiance to God is important. Let's make an intentional effort today to shine the light of God's holiness and grace in all we do and say.

My Prayer...

O God, may the words of my mouth, the actions of my life, and the influence of my deeds show others your holiness and grace and lead them to acknowledge your majesty and might. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Verse of the Day for Tuesday, July 31, 2018:

To all who received him, to those who believe in his name, he gave the right to become children of God — children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. — John 1:12-13

Thoughts on Today's Verse....

We live in a time and culture of rights. "It's my right to ___." Just fill in the blank. But we don't have a right to be God's child. We are given that right by God's grace. This right came to us at great cost to God. Jesus' came to earth, lived, died and was raised from the dead. We receive this grace through faith: God gives us new birth as we trust in Jesus as Lord and we are baptized and reborn through the power of the Holy Spirit (John 3:3-7; Titus 3:3-7). To be born of God, to be born from above, to be born "again" is the gift of adoption into God's family and brings us all the rights of heirs in God's house (Galatians 3:26-29; Galatians 4:1-7). So let's not take this grace, this blessing, this adoption, this right for granted! We are God's children right now (1 John 3:1-3). Let's give thanks for this grace and live like we belong.

My Prayer...

Abba Father, thank you for including me in your family. May my life reflect your influence, character, mercy, holiness, compassion, righteousness, and love. I want to be like you, my Father. So just as I was born into your family by the power of the Holy Spirit, please fill me with your Spirit so that I will more closely reflect you in all I do and say this day. In the name of my older brother Jesus I pray. Amen.

We are the light of the world
Let our light shine be for all,
That they may see, the good that we do and give Glory to God.

Blessed are they who are meek and humble, they shall inherit the earth
Bless us our Lord make us meek and humble, Bless us our Lord our God.

Blessed is they who cry morn for justice
They shall be comforted,
Bless us our Lord, let us share their mourning, bless us our Lord Our God.

You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word. — Psalm 119:114

Thoughts on Today's Verse....

Where can we go to remain secure from the onslaught of bad ideas, evil influences, and false hopes? We can go to God and his Word. While people can be disloyal and misguided, God's love is proven through history and through Jesus and his t***h stands forever.

My Prayer...

Almighty God, you alone are trustworthy. You keep your word and fulfill your promises. Forgive me when I trust my own insight and the wisdom of others rather than seeking your will in your Word. Please give me your wisdom as I seek your will in your Word. In the name of Jesus, your ultimate Word, I pray. Amen.

As the L**T demands to be inclusive in the church, apparently more and more of the lukewarm churches are obliging.

And thanks to the liberal media, more and more people are being persuaded by this deception.

Sad.

New York Times Takes Aim At Bible, Says Book Of Leviticus Used To Contain Pro-Homosexual Verses In "€˜Earlier Texts"€™
by Geoffrey Grider July 31, 2018

The authorship of Leviticus by Moses is confirmed by Jesus Himself in Luke 5:14 and Matthew 8:4 in your King James Bible. Additionally, the apostle John confirms that Moses wrote Genesis in John 7:22. So the idea of there being other authors of some non-existent version of Leviticus or any other of the books of the Pentateuch authored by Moses is laughably ridiculous.

A quick word search for ‘moses’ shows us that his name appears 848 times in 748 verses, with hundreds of references proving beyond the shadow of any doubt that God used him to author the first 5 books of the Holy Bible.

There is no other group of people more apt to destroy your confidence in the Holy Bible, than that gaggle of textual critics known as bible scholars. They don'€™t believe that God has preserved His word, they don'€™t believe in its authority, and they have no compunctions about revising history to suit their agendas.

"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is a*********n."€ Leviticus 18:22 (KJV)

Dr. Idan Dershowitz, a bible scholar over at the New York Times, has written an article to inform us that while the book of Leviticus may appear to codemn homosexuality, beastialty and incest, in its orginal form it was actually in favor of those things, especially homosexuality. Dr. Dershowitz offers no actual archaeological or literary evidence to support his claim, but just wants you to "€œtake his word"€ for it because he is a "€œbible scholar" and so much smarter than you are.

So the idea of there being other authors of some non-existent version of Leviticus or any other of the books of the Pentateuch authored by Moses is laughably ridiculous.

There is a huge push taking place right now to L**Titize the Holy Bible, and in order to do that all the verses that speak against their lifestyle and agenda must be either rewritten or removed altogether.

The L**T group Human Rights Campaign (HRC) published a "guide"€ for L**T people in evangelical Christian churches. The guide twisted the Bible, painted traditional Christianity as h**eful, downplayed the crucial role of repentance in the Christian life, identified people with their sin, and pushed a radical acceptance of L**T ideology on churches.

Instead of pushing back and standing for Biblical t***h, a vast majority of churches are looking for ways to "€œfind common ground"€ with the L**T. Denominations like the Methodists, the Presbyterians and even some Southern Baptists have already fallen.

If you'€™re waiting for the "€˜big end times revival"€™ promoted in charismatic circles today, don'€™t bother. Jesus says the last state of the Church before the rapture is apostasy, and apostasy it shall be. That'™s the real message Dr. Idan Dershowitz puts forward in "The Secret History Of Leviticus"€™, whether he realizes it or not.

"€œAnd unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see." Yep; my wife goes to a Methodist Church, mostly to praise the Lord.
I went once; and the pew sitters recite a blurb on a big screen at the beginning of the service, claiming that the Catholic church is the (true) church.
I am curious; is that common to all or most Methodist churches?
I need to go back again to read those words again.

Our Bible study group has our own church. It is in the wilderness beside a fresh creek among the willows and cottonwoods. I built a nice rock fire ring and cleaned off an area around it. It is remote and peaceful. We study, pray and sing. We bring food, refreshments and do communion. We take turns at leading the worship. At this site, we celebrated the Blood Moon tetrad of 2014 and 2015. We call our wilderness church the Blood Moon outpost.
