That lower tax rate is what is bringing companies back from China and providing jobs for fellow Americans but obviously you and lonewolf don't care about your fellow Americans all you care about is yourselves which is very selfish of both of you.

So by stimulating the economy you mean to go to war with another country and thus stimulate the economy through the manufacturing of war equipment? Another way to stimulate the economy is through the sale of our goods to other countries, Noe if the trade is imbalanced then the tariffs will bring into balance faster. Also if other countries are not doing as we would like them to do tariffs would hasten them getting in line so to speak but none of these are socialist. Things like social security and medicare are socialist ideas. I don' know about clean air and water those are covered by laws and if you mess up you can be fined and your business is put out of business. We could go back to home schools but we are to lazy for that now and the same goes to all volunteer fire departments as well as the police and medical facilities but then you wouldn't have specialists right.

I think you're missing my point, Dashy. Corporations merely collect taxes for the government. Wh**ever taxes they pay are passed on to the consumer in the form of price increases. Where do you think corporations get the money to pay taxes? Our corporate tax rate has been among the highest of any other country which in turn forces them to charge higher prices and be uncompetitive in the world market. What are you going to do about countries that charge lower tax rates? Are you going to force them to pay higher taxes? How? I've got an idea! Let's put tariffs on their goods sold in this Country! Wait a minute! Isn't that what Trump's been doing at the outrage of Democrats? It seems to me that I've heard Democrats for years scream about leveling the playing field. Does that only apply to those in the US? Free market capitalism, to the extent that it can be attained, has always worked best to the benefit of everyone. More sales, more jobs. More jobs, more sales.

Who wants wage and price controls? Not me! It's never worked. The best way to control wages and prices is through a system of free market competition. A business isn't going to be able to charge high prices if there is another that wants a piece of the business who can keep that business honest. Price gouging is simply a way to cut your own throat. Nobody ever said that a democracy couldn't have a certain amount paid for through government taxation. That isn't socialism! The systems in the Baltic countries, like Bernie Sanders is fond of quoting, isn't socialism. It is a capitalistic economy. It has more programs paid for through government appropriations than we do but it isn't socialism. Notice I said "through" government, not "by" government. The government has no money that it hasn't taken from us, the taxpayer.

Collecting taxes is the job of the government agency called the IRS. Corporations pay taxes to the IRS from company profits. A profit is realized when a company sells goods or services for an amount greater than the cost to acquire or produce them. A tarrif (tax) on imports is added to the cost of the item and is paid by the buyer. This added cost is absorbed by companies in the delivery chain and/or passed on to the final consumer. Increasing sales requires increased demand. Jobs provide consumers with $$$ to buy the goods. When wages fail to rise in line with increased costs of goods or services, demand goes down. One way to jumpstart this process is to increase wages. Another way is with government welfare.
