What a mess!!!! Its hard to believe this is happening in America. I was very disgusted with the Russia h**x. Honestly, I believe we'd be better off being allies with Russia, if at all possible. You know, its interesting that the dems talk about "progressivism", but cant get past the old Cold War bogeyman of Russia.

The fly in the ointment continues to be Putin, a former KGB who wants to restore Russia to its' former glory days of the USSR. Until he is gone it will be very difficult to work with Russia about anything. Suspicion and distrust of particularly the West are buried very deep in the Russian psyche because they have been invaded or at the crossroads of many wars: Byzantium, Persia, Mongols, Ottomans, Napoleon, Russo-Turkish, Russo-Japanese, Austro-Hungarian, Hitler, and many more.

There were a lot of cold war warriors in government but most have retired by now. It's the Neo-cons that worry me. But the Democratic Party is so fragmented and factionalized that even Pelosi has lost control.
Don't expect much out of Congress until after the 2020 e******n. This is what the Democrats have their sights set on, in addition to impeachment.
