I need to ask my brother if he bought the one the guy had at his ranch. I'm betting he didn't because it was an outside sitter. A/C not working, cab hammered, tires rotted, etc. The guy wanted 20 grand, and I'm betting he didn't buy it. It was in sad shape.

Too late..... the boys are on to Deere tractors. The thread isn't dead but the subject is.

It still is in many places, including the good old United States. Just don't tell the government. They call them 'human traffickers' these days. S***ers just the same.

Male/female is sex.

Yes, it is the determinant for reproductive roles in every species on the Earth, including the human species.

working class stiff wrote:
Woman/ man is g****r identity.

I see, so what then is girl / boy then? Is that also an 'identity'? Is an adolescent female a boy and an adolescent male a girl? What about babies? Are they also simply 'identifying', or are we adults giving them 'labels' they may object to but have no ability to make their 'identities' known as yet?

What about babies in the womb? Are they also indeterminate until they decide for themselves how they wish to 'identify'? How far down this rabbit hole are you willing to go?

working class stiff wrote:
Woman and female are not equivalents.

You're absolutely right, they're not. If they were, then a female cow could also be a woman and a woman could also be a female cow. Woman is a species identifier, just as cow or sow or hen are.

working class stiff wrote:
Female is biology, woman is psychology and or sociology.

And never the twain shall meet, eh? Just because some scientist somewhere tells you that you have a daughter, you know different, don't you, because you know all about the social and psychological stuff, right? After all, your daughter will not be hindered by being told that she is one day going to develop into a woman and have children of her own, is she? No, of course not. Because you'll deny it to her dying day.

That's called freedom, not biology, psychology or sociology. That's her freedom to choose her own path and make her own way in life. That's a right she was born with and you try to deny her because you tell her she is something she isn't, setting her up for an epic failure down the road by misunderstanding herself and her strengths / weaknesses.

Try telling her to embrace her womanhood and she will use those inherent strengths to excel where you never knew she could - where her talents lie, where you told her not to look. And remember, behind every successful woman stands a proud man, admiring her for the woman that she is.

I saw a girl on one today that might be identifying as a boy.
Or is she just a farm girl?

What, exactly, is a girl?

Yep, I did that....

Mine is a 1977 model and 1977 was the last year they built the 4430's then the 4440 and then 4450's .

Did you drive the 4430 in the late 80's early 90's ?

Actually you are right about the air heat and radio the best tractor I ever had and it was the last brand new tractor I've ever bought !

Yes they are still high sellers if in good shape and if I were to sell mine it wouldn't be for anything less than 20K

Unfortunately, I still screw up the formatting that you clearly know so I can't parse your answers sentence by sentence. I do, however, appreciate the civility of your response.

What is a day to God?
I've often wondered why we assume that God's day depends upon the rotation of the Earth as his timepiece when he created so many other clocks he could use, like the rotation of a galaxy.

And never the twain shall meet, eh?
I did not say that. They meet in most cases. There are plenty of exceptions, though. I would never tell my son or daughter how they should feel about themselves as male or female. I would let them tell me. I don't see why knowing the complexities of sex and g****r roles would lead me to becoming a tyrant about the subject. You are basically saying that I would force my children to become something they are not.

That's called freedom, not biology, psychology or sociology.
Yes it is. Even here, you seem to think that I am imposing some sort of cage on my children. That would be the furthest thing from the t***h. What I am doing is liberating them from the defined roles of 'woman, man' that others may be forcing on them. If I have a 'girly girl' who becomes a mother and wife in the traditional sense, great. If she chooses some other role, no skin off my nose.

I hope you are doing well.

The kid gets back up, gathers his teeth, and puts on a headlock. He then clotheslines his opponent over the top rope. The crowd eats it up...it's an entertaining battle.

Does the lack of common sense necessarily dictate someone to be a source of ignorance or can some people just be ignorant on face value ??????

My neighbor who used to help with the planting and harvesting for a friend of his was telling me that his friend had purchased a new tractor and that it had GPS in it, He said that he would get in that tractor and start and then go and do all of his paper work and not have to watch what was going on. He said that GPS would also change settings on the fertilization based on the last years harvest increasing it where the yield was low and decreasing it where the yield was high. I guess that farming ain't what it used to be right?

You have that right on !

I started out with tractors with out power steering or Hyd's use a either levers and or trip ropes to raise and and lower implements !

Then came cabs with air and heat now GPS !

Most GPS guidance one has to actually turn at the end of the field and make the turn around then back to GPS.
One of my cousins demo a system from John Deere that did as you said once it was programed to a field he sat back and it did it all on it's own but he elected not to buy it as it was priced at $35,000

GPS I use I set the A / B lines and name them to use the next time I run in each field but I still have to make the turns etc etc

It takes us older fellows a little longer to figure it all out but then it's balls to wall getting the crop in the ground !
