Public school teachers are very well paid, considering it's a part time job at full time pay.

Bottom line, get rid of the union, get rid of a lot of problems!! That's the only quick way to get rid of bad teachers.

===============
We taxpayers fund public school teachers.
Public School teachers are in fact well-paid, more than the private schools. In addition, they have Teaching Assistants. Public school teachers have 3 months vacation leave during summer, usually from June, July, and August. They receive full pay for these months.

Public School teachers have labor union organization all over the country. That means we the taxpayers are funding for their demands for higher salaries when they want it, and for more benefits like family and sick leave. HIGHER SALARY MEANS HIGHER UNION DUES.

Public School Teachers have retirement funds, where part of it are funded by the state government that means our tax money. Most of them stay for 30 years where pensions monthly are about 2/3 of the average of 5 highest monthly salary. That is if the teacher retires at average of $6000/month for 30 years of service, the monthly pension would be $4,000/month, plus the Social Security.

Despite of all those benefits, the public school kids rank much lower then private schools. We the taxpayers are victims of these unionized public employees, which are empowered by the democrats.

The teachers labor union and democrats, have a quid-pro-quo relationship. Every year,labor union donates so much money to the democrat party, as they demand for salary and benefit increases. The labor union protects them in their jobs, even if performance is below expectation.

That tenure status at the universities and colleges has very negative effects on students. Why? There are professors no matter how rotten they are, could not be removed when they have the tenure.

As a result, students are affected by their performance. Many of them are so liberal and progressive who h**e conservatives and republicans. Students are brainwashed thus most millennials defend democrats. They demand so much without earning it.
