That's true, but it doesn't make much difference since Trump's current actions stop even those from applying accessibility to do so. How are they expected to "apply" when ICE stops them at the border with orders from Trump to "turn around?"

Everyone knows that when Obama took over the economy was on the verge of the worst recession in nearly 30 years, and the country was bleeding jobs. Obama stopped the bleeding and put the economy back on track. If you honestly studied the facts you would notice that its always the democratic president that has to come in and spend the first 3-4 years fixing the mess republicans left. period. Worst recession? When he took over in 2009, there was $845 billion stimulus package what was approved by Congress to restore the economy. What happened to the money?

1. Went to build and rebuild Mosques all over the world.
2. Bought cash for clunkers, which miserably failed, lost billion of dollars.
3. Loaned money to Solyndra $500 million, but after few months went into bankruptcy.
4. Used part of the money worldwide to provide a******n to their women for population control.
5. Used $80.7 billion to bail out the bankrupt Labor Union of the Auto industries, GM, Ford, Chrysler.
The Labor Union donates hundreds of millions to democrat party every year.

Asylum seekers are SUPPOSED to go to either an embassy or port of entry to request asylum. NOT cross our border illegally then when confronted by ICE request asylum. ICE is not involved in the asylum process as they are NOT stationed on the border. The only way you can conceivably have ICE turning away Asylum seekers is if they are already in the interior of the US. According to the law, illegally entering our country automatically disqualifies someone from asylum!

Asylum must first be applied for. This does not take entering the country to do so. Denying entry while the request is processed and evaluated is perfectly legal and FAR more preferable especially seeing that the alternative is to allow them to melt into the US population after telling them they must reappear months later for a hearing to determine whether or not they will be allowed to remain in the US. Most never return for their hearings. Not allowing entry UNTIL they are granted asylum, means only those accepted get to live in the US. The only reason to oppose this is if you want open borders in all but name.

Under Obama, the initial crisis was alleviated but did not recover. The job market was propped up by taxpayers with government created minimum wage jobs, government subsidized jobs, government subsidized companies who used the taxpayers money to make goods only the very wealthy could afford (like Tesla). Many people whose jobs went away after the crash, eked by with two part time minimum wage jobs. The very slight "recovery" was little more than a facade and could only be kept by continuous insertion of taxpayers money.

If you only look at the facts of statistics on how many people were unemployed or employed, you can't see the details. You must look deeper into how many people's jobs relied on taxpayers and what their wages were.

You are overlooking the thousands that show up at Ports of Entry and are still incarcerated because as I already said, Trump has ordered ICE and BP to stop ALL immigrants (unless they are from Norway) at the border and send them back. BTW - what country did your ancestors immigrate here from....and were they legal? Just asking...…...

Look at how many times you use the phrase "government subsidized…." You do realize that the "government" was under the leadership of Obama right? BTW - job numbers can easily be manipulated as well. When we want to show improvement in the job market all we do is stop reporting the thousands who's benefits have run out -they still are unemployed -but since they aren't getting paid we don't count them -and voila! -the numbers look great. IF Trump was actually "creating" thousands and thousands of new jobs -please tell us where because I'm not seeing it in my community.

I live a only several miles away from 2 POEs. Naco and Douglas. ICE does not operate at a POE. Nor does CBP enter Mexico to apprehend asylum seekers who request asylum at a port of entry. The only apprehend i*****l a***ns. Illegal means they have entered the US illegally! Nor does CBP send people back to their home country when they are not INSIDE the US. You can't have it that they are stopped from entering AND are sent back. CBP and ICE do NOT operate outside of the US.

And no, asylum seekers from Norway are not allowed free access to our country before being granted asylum. Those requesting entry at our southern border, are all handled the same whether from Mexico, Central America, South America, Africa, Middle East, or Europe. Any entering illegally are handled the same no matter their origins. Norwegians are not given a free pass!
