Very true perm, and how many Christians would give empathy or to even say something nice to Muslims who almost lost their historical and Holy temple for prayer and was also a larger part of their history as it goes back 1000 years further back than Notre Dame. Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque Catches Fire During Notre Dame Blaze

While French firefighters were putting out the destructive blaze at the Notre Dame Cathedral, another holistic site was also up in flames. Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is among the holiest sites in Islam and was built almost 1,800 years ago, was struck by blaze while the monumental Catholic Church was also devastated with fire.

They didn’t ‘almost lose it’. So what is your point? In your zeal to defend muslims you make a specious argument.

Omar is being a politician. It speaks volumes that her apologists ignore her support of a terrorist front organization.

What the heck..... your heroin says that it is wonderful architecture and art, nothing more. Why are you upset? All we should do is wish/pray that the first responders are alright. No big deal.....right? I sent a contribution to help rebuild the cathedral.... and I am sure someone emptied the trash can at the mosque that caught fire.

We can find fault in everyone, can't we. She admires the cathedral for it's beauty and not as a spiritual entity, it is not her religion, she said something positive not negative, yet people still find ways to be judgemental of her, why? What does that negativity do?

My point was that a place of their worship escaped what happened to Note Dame, and not that it needed a lot of coverage but if it had would have they received the same compassion?

People right now are drowning in all the negative chatter. Can't we begin to evolve? I'll tell you something, a little song that was sung at a church I visited, a song called 'What would love do" and I really thought about that deeply, and have been using it in every situation I can, and for me it has made a major shift and I do feel, love and compassion first and you'll see things differently when needed most.
.
Enjoy your day, though we may not always agree I appreciate your standpoints. It's a beautiful day here and I can use a re-connection with nature which then keeps me connected to the above.

So another words, they have to have the same amount of loss before they are shown any compassion?

That is simply how you see it, I didn't see her comment political until it was made that way by the right, looking for fault and a way to criticize, that's how I see it. My zeal is not defending Muslims but more to the point of hypocrisy.

No thats not what I’m saying. Why expect a minor fire to bring outpourings of compassion?

Omar speaks with a forked tongue and its patently obvious. Most politicians do.

I didn't say an outpour, I was more referring to "any" they got zero but how could they, as there were just about zero mentionings of it.

She didn't speak of a forked tongue, just as she saw it, was that some kind of sin? We are all human and I personally have not found a perfect one yet, that would be truly something to behold, unless we consider ourselves all perfect in design.

I agree...Life is perfect isn't it, until negative thoughts interfere, How about we all take a break, get along and live, love and laugh, our visit here is short

...and if this is a real place I'd love to visit such a place

Unfortunately it is still in the construction phase...
Sometimes we make progress...
Sometimes we have setbacks...

I got some pics to see but they mix them up with other Canadian pics so I'm not sure, is it in a valley?

How often do you see any mentions of minor fires in another country? Not saying its right or wrong, just sayin'.

She speaks 'with' a forked tongue. I'm not saying anyone is better than another or that there's no one on this earth who isn't a hypocrite at one time or another. I'm saying she's a typical politician who tells people what they want to hear. She comes from a duplicitous ideology.
