All the h**e against i******s spills over toward those that are legal. I can only say there are few i******s in Coos County. The legals here are hard workers and I know of one logging company who replaced their loggers with Hispanics--Why because they show up work hard and don't need to be bailed out of jail to go to work.

Migrants that come in for work are generally just that.
Hard workers and usually honest people that send most of their earnings home to family.
AND, return home when the season is over.

I agree that Hispanic people are VERY hard workers, and actually tend to lean quite conservative when they are regular immigrants. At least that has been my observation. My cousins husband is a hard worker, terrific father and husband. He raised their 3 sons the same. I cant speak to what other Hispanics I have worked with are like at home, but can attest to them being hard workers.

You mean the gringos up there in the logging camps are all barroom brawlers?

I agree, I've known quite a few Latinos who were good people, hard working, family oriented.

My main gripe is with the ones who enter the U.S. illegally and get to stay while those going the legal route to get into the country are back-burnered.
