Look, Canuckus, let me be blunt. I speak for myself alone, there may be others here who agree with me and many who don't. I am not here to kiss the asses, compromise with, appease, tolerate or shake hands or play kissy face with those who stand against and work to destroy our beloved nation.

The democrat party has been hijacked by a progressive ideological movement that is diametrically opposed to our American way of life, and it is tearing the heart and soul out of America. Like a protracted malignancy, this has been going on for a long time, the hemorrhaging is massive, terrible damage has been done to our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution, our government, our rule of law and justice system and our American way of life. When Obama announced that he was out to fundamentally t***sform America, he wasn't just flapping his lips.

Twice in my life, once when I was 17 and again when I was 26, I swore the oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC. I own that oath, it is in my blood, in my DNA, I have never broken or violated it, and I don't intend to ever do so. The American system of government as our founders framed it is the closest thing to the Biblical definitions of a man conceived government that ever existed on this earth. I am not a centrist, a fence sitter, or a middle of the road sweetheart. I am first and foremost an American, a patriot, and a Christian. If that is a problem for anyone, I don't give a s**t.

There are members of that ideological movement active on this forum. I am well aware of how they, America's domestic enemies, see me. I am a heartless, soulless, mean, intolerant, r****t, h********c, bigotted, xenophobic SOB who doesn't deserve to breath clean air. That is their problem, not mine. There are members of that ideological movement active on this forum. To them I say MOLON LABE.

As I understand it, you are a Canadian who has taken up residence in China, an authoritarian nation. (If I am mistaken, correct me.) So, I don't expect you to understand the depth and breadth of my love of America and why I am resolute in defending her. To suggest that I would "enjoy some of the more authoritarian nations" is offensive. I detest the implication.

I most certainly was not attempting to be offensive... Apologies if it came across that way...

I simply find it interesting that your vision of the US is so very authoritarian...

We have different views...

And Yes... China is an authoritarian nation... And I quite enjoy it over here... To each his own...

Why do you come to the OPP if not to engage in discourse?

To suggest that my "vision" of my own country is "so very authoritarian" is also offensive. What the hell do you think America is all about anyway? LIFE, LIBERTY, and the PURSUIT of HAPPINESS. Does that sound authoritarian to you?

Our American nation and way of life is at stake, and you think I should "engage in discourse"? What does that even mean?

In his epic treatise on the Art of War, the great Chinese philosopher general, Sun Tsu, wrote: “If you know your enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I know myself, I come to OPP to know my enemy. I've learned a lot about them here and elsewhere. The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.

Once again no offense was intended...
It is not meant that way...

Life, liberty and pursuit of happiness...
Sounds good...

As does your reason for being on the OPP...
To engage in discourse is to share in understanding... To both speak and listen... That one may grow as an individual...

I sense there is a difference in definitions of terms between you and our Canadian living in China. Semantics is the word that comes to mind. One appears to be a proud Patriot (as am I) as the other seems to be trying to mend fences. Perhaps allowing for clarification of ones point of view might open the avenue of communication and thus allowing one to "...to know your enemy..." and maybe find out the other isn't really an enemy at all.

I think that living in America and understanding what has been going on here is very different than living in another nation and critiquing what life is like here in America. I understand why one would take offense at your comments . . . but I also see where you seem to be wanting to mend fences between you and Blade. Being clear in what one types here . . . trying to make ones point . . . using the proper words to reflect what is going on in ones head . . . can be a bit complicated.

When someone uses swear words at me, I tend to respond in kind . . . and can get as bad as anyone else! I don't like to do it, and most often strive to not do it. That being said, I sense there may be a semantic issue going on here and clarification needs to be allowed to happen.

Trying to bring a more open avenue of communications is my goal in this comment. Hope it is taken that way.

Thank you for your kind words John...

Blade Runner is aware of how highly I hold him in respect...

And I hope my words were not taken as a critique of the American way of life...

My viewpoints will certainly differ from most on the forum...

Hope all is well with you...

Or from him either. Not wanting to say what you believe in anonymity is curious.

He dug a deep hole for himself. No one dug it for him. Maybe thats why he was afraid to be forthcoming.
