No need for walls, too expensive and time-consuming. Issue all Americans a biometric I.D. card and make landlords responsible for checking them when they rent or buy a home or apartment. Landlords will report anybody without a valid I.D. Making their failure to comply with the identification process a federal crime subject to stiff punishment. And, also subjecting i*****l a***ns to stiff punishment for violating our i*********n l*ws. I'm very confident i*****l a***ns will immediately ride their caravans back to their miserable countries.

You know, it's such an uphill battle fighting the Democratic party for border security. I think we should just think outside the box here and be logical. These poor, poor people from Mexico and Honduras and Columbia and etc etc are SUFFERING. It's IMMORAL to turn them away. So let's just be very humanitarian about this to ALL the poor citizens of these awful countries. Let's just absorb them all into the United States. We can benefit from the resources, arable land and manpower. They can benefit by us creating infrastructures and enforcing US laws so these poor people are treated fairly and have an opportunity to work and better themselves without having to leave their belived homes. Oh, wait, you say. That's imperialistic you say. Well - how can we ignore the millions and tens of millions of our suffering neighbors? Let them ALL be Americans. With all the attendant rights and responsibilities thereof. What say you OPPers?

Let me pose this question, "Who is responsible for their problems?" Virtually every gang member, corrupt cop & politician and member of the military is related to one or more of these 'suffering' citizens. These 'unfortunate victims' created these problems and rather than fix them they choose to flee to the U.S. where they will simply begin anew. It's not lack of opportunity for where there's a will there's a way. It's their culture - and we don't need them to bring it here. Wh**ever we give them will be squandered, after all they receive MILLIONS in AID from us every year and what has it bought?

100% AGREE! I******s have done nothing positive for the country. At first I thought it was sarcasm and still hope it was. I won't say come to the border and tell me coming in illegally makes them citizens, I will say go to any state they dispersed to (about 48). You'll get an awakening that guys in WW II probably did, and Nam, the Gulf wars etc. probably did. Now we're supposed to give them SS too? WTF, not while I'm alive.

Good idea, but it won't work for this simple reason. Some landlords and whoever else would check those IDs will be dummycraps, with "sanctuary city" thoughts and feelings instead of live rounds will take care of it in their head. May be an idea for DACA "kids" since they are already here.

Large convoys could be organized and move onto Mexico and build settlements and put the natives on reservations.

We as a prosperous nation are done. We become the s**thole that LA and SF are. Wife and I are old enough to probably not have to deal too much, I fear for my daughter and her family. One thing going for me is that her husband is a really down to earth and a real son of a b***h when it comes to his family. I take a lot of reassurance in that. You gals would love him, strong, up at 3:00am to work out, good looking guy, black belt in something but very quiet. Best of all, he and I like each other and get along as we like the same things. Family, fishing and hunting. Mike

Like you, I am too old to be here to see the real results to our country of what is happening today, and, possibly, it will not become too awful before my 58 year old son is gone. But the future GREAT grandchildren of my 20 year old grandchild will live in a very different America than we have and I do not expect the United States to even exist by then since so many states TODAY are working so hard to separate themselves from being "united" and from obeying any federal/national laws they don't like and from being "American." Glad I will not see the final destruction of my country but, I cannot help wishing the one's today working FOR the destruction would be here for the final result and suffer greatly without end.

It was sarcasm. I was suggesting the US just take over their countries. Their "sovereign territory" so to speak.

Ma'am, I totally agree with you. I'm praying that the mid to late 30's such as my daughter and especially her husband have caught on and are trying to make a difference. God knows I tried during my time of influence. I'm a young 68 but tied down with a wife who I need to take care of and can't be a Villante unless the need really presents its self.Mike

Maryjane, I love your attitude. Live your life to the fullest. Don't worry about. The future is as you can only control, you own it. Find what makes you happy and goes balls to the wall for it. We aren't going to be on earth that much longer so goe for it.

Alternatively... Why not allow those that wish to to move south of the border and establish a new United States of Latin America...

They could be swapped for all conservative Latinos with work ethics and proper love for the rights and freedoms of the US...

No need to build a wall...
Just establish a line of f**gs across the border... It's hard to tunnel/ climb/ swim when you're kneeling..
