Have you ever had hemlock tea made from the evergreen trees (not Socrates' brew)?
It is delicious and very medicinal, something the Eastern Iroquois tribes fed to the European sailors..

Nor have I but I’m going to try it too!!!

LindaJoy, those hemlock trees are mostly indigenous to the Appalachian Chain on the east coast of the USA, very hard to find out west. In fact, the Appalachian mountain range, the oldest in the world: the White Mountains, Green Mountains, Adirondacks, Alleghenies, Blue Ridge and Smokies have the greatest variations in natural fauna than any other nation on earth.

I understand it is possible to hike the Appalachian Trail from mountain top to mountain top above the timberline, Maine to Tennessee, never descending to the valleys. That would be a lifetime ambition of mine once I retire.

In fact, when children hiking in the Adirondacks, we witnessed the migration of Red Efts in autumn, (these are brilliant orange colored newts) marching miles across the forest floors to spawn in the lakes, being amphibians. This species of salamanders is well camouf**ged amongst the colorful autumn leaves. The west coast is beautiful, but barren in comparison to the east coast.

You know, it's such an uphill battle fighting the Democratic party for border security. I think we should just think outside the box here and be logical. These poor, poor people from Mexico and Honduras and Columbia and etc etc are SUFFERING. It's IMMORAL to turn them away. So let's just be very humanitarian about this to ALL the poor citizens of these awful countries. Let's just absorb them all into the United States. We can benefit from the resources, arable land and manpower. They can benefit by us creating infrastructures and enforcing US laws so these poor people are treated fairly and have an opportunity to work and better themselves without having to leave their belived homes. Oh, wait, you say. That's imperialistic you say. Well - how can we ignore the millions and tens of millions of our suffering neighbors? Let them ALL be Americans. With all the attendant rights and responsibilities thereof. What say you OPPers?

No way, Debeda. You area advancing the North American Union.
The character in the United States of our citizens is very different from much of the rest of the world's people. People who apply legally for entry to the United States are like-minded in spirit: freedom loving, self-reliant and responsible people.

But most of the world would invade us as a gang of thieves. The passion for creativity, self reliance and freedom must first emerge within the human nature of foreign nations. We can only lead by example and defend our culture, language and borders.

My apology, sometimes I am so angry at the Democrats that I can't laugh anymore.
