In our nation's earlier years we were a nation of immigrants because we needed people. This is no longer true today. The USA is a grown-up, settled, completely peopled nation and has no need of more people, certainly no need at all of foreigners that will benefit our country in no way, but just be a huge forever burden. But the greatest reason for ending ALL immigration other than business or tourist is that today's foreigners, both legal and illegal, are not coming here to become Americans, to be a part of the USA, nor because of our foundations as a republic emphazing individual freedoms. No, for decades, the foreigners given preference by our own government to move here come simply to gain material wealth for themselves and grab every opportunity for gaining material wealth for free. Think of the money they save by never having to pay for any medical care. These people are as different from actual immigrants of the earlier USA as the colors black from white. They don't cate about Anerica or what it once stood for. They do not care one bit about the horrendous costs theur being here us to US citizen taxpayers. They do not care about US citizenship or becoming American, in fact, they have no desire nor intention of working toward either. They are not, and never will be Americans. But, t***hfully, we have many, many actual citizens today who are not true Americans, but actually, antiAmerica.

Dinesh D'Souza said the first people to come to America were not immigrants...they were settlers, who built a country so great that 150 years later, people will jump over fences, pay a lot of money, wait in long lines, leave their home country, and leave their families to get to the country that the settlers made.
