“And this sense of admiration has just increased after you took office.” - Recently elected President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, speaking to President Trump in the White House rose garden today.

Perhaps most important, Brazil is a crucial ally in President Trump’s stand against the corrupt, socialist Maduro dictatorship in Venezuela. President Bolsonaro reiterated that Brazil stands with Venezuelan Interim President Juan Guaido, as well as with the democratically elected National Assembly and the Venezuelan people in their fight against tyranny.

“The twilight hour of socialism has arrived in our hemisphere,” President Trump said from the Rose Garden this afternoon. “And hopefully, by the way, it’s also arrived—that twilight hour—in our great country.”

Hopefully, Mr. President. Hopefully.

There is no Socialism in America. Why can't you guys grasp that point. Socialism: "a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole." Yes, that is Venezuela, not America.

Open your eyes and your mind. There are those who would push it through but they must not. We must rise to the occasion. Trump has done a MAGAnificent job against all odds.

I have little doubt that there are nut cases on the Left that find true Socialism somehow appealing, yet it can only be for personal gain and power. Venezuela example does not even matter to that ilk.

Constant vigilance is the duty of a patriot. It is not constantly worrying about possible threats but a watchful eye on the state of the nation. Like you said Carol Kelly, we all need to open our eyes and mind.

I don't think it is good to emphasize socialism / capitalism in political debates. Those are only economic systems, and economics is always sub-political. After all, we can be s***es under capitalism just as well as under socialism.

The fundamental political question is: How do I ensure my children's futures? And, derivatively, is our current political system making our children's futures more, or less, secure?

Socialism has been infiltrating into our political system for a hundred years. Every democrat president (and some republicans) since Woodrow Wilson has implemented socialist policies and programs, Social Security, the 16th amendment. Obama went nuts trying bring corporations under government control and nationalizing our police forces. Socialists have their own political party. Socialists in the private sector have established institutions for the purpose of advancing socialism--law firms, think tanks, PACs, lobbying groups, you name it. Socialism is all over the place.

So you now understand why Trump cleaned out the CIA, DOJ, and FBI. Good! The checks and balances were broken by Obama and Hillary and the CIA was spying on Congress. Along with Finestein's driver and Schultz's Muslim tech guys. You forget all the important details.

Can't forget what you fail to take notice of. Most people are completely blind to such abuses.

I've always been a news junkie. Since Trump and Q came along, it's gotten worse, ha.

Excellent point and one that really bothers me...the FUTURE of future generations.

Yes, but many a Democrat seems hell bent on changing that, or AOC, Bernie and others wouldn't have followings.
