I honestly don't recall him supporting, or defending anything. He stated facts. Lands, territories, and countries have been taken by conquest since man started roaming the earth.
To hold him, me, or anyone else responsible for things that were done generations before we were even concieved is ridiculous. Had we been part of it would be a different story.
Archie: the fact that he 'overlooks' the t***h that the early white settlers did indeed poison, steal land, and k**l the Indians by deflecting to "other tribes k**led them too" is in fact "defending the position." The history of a nation should not be based on a 'tit for tat' type attitude. I don't know where you get the idea that "you or anyone else" is being 'held responsible' - I never wrote that. You say "had we been part of it would be a different story" -yet you overlook how easy you guys will take the credit for 'good things' you also had no direct part in. People like you (and your pal) like to think of yourselves as 'patriots' -willing to defend America and the Constitution against 'all enemies both foreign and domestic' -but not able to accept that even most of those who wrote the Constitution were avid raicsts then -and many of those original settlers' descendants are still r****t now. I don't hold you personally responsible for what your forefathers did. However, in the reality of all things, you cannot escape the fact that your ancestors did it. Getting upset and slinging insults at me does not change the past -and certainly won't fix the present.
