I wonder how many other states will pull an Alec and follow suit? I'd be surprised if a dozen more aren't all over this.

I don't see it as a possibility that he'll be running, but hey... why take chances.

No reason this is not constitutional, showing tax returns became a 40 year defacto norm that Trump shot to hell.

Does the Constitution require a President to show his tax returns?

No, but a state can make it a requirement for a candidate to have their name on the b****t, this is what is refered to as “states rights.”

The constitution allows for states to pass laws as long as they are not unconstitutional.

Trump is pushing boundaries of what the constitution doesn't say so it's forcing clarity. There is a reason presidents have been showing tax returns, and it's so the public can see conflicts of interest.

Only if a candidate in the future refuses to show their tax returns, which none have done for 40 years.

He just vetoed a challenge not on the wall, but on declaring a national emergency that doesn't meet the definition... it's not over

Trump is winning himself right into corners the GOP doesn't want to be cornered into.

The topspin is back at republicans, the base sees it as being about the wall, the reality is that it is about the constitutionality of taking the budget decisions away from the house and senate. This is an e******n breaker not about winning on the wall.

But Washington v**ers can write in the name. On the b****t.
They can't prevent their citizens from writing in Trump's name right?

That would mean Washington v****g results wouldn't be available until weeks after e******n night.

Do you know how many are being k**led by "legal" opioids? Are you aware of the way the Trump administration gutted the ability to go after and prosecute the manufacturers and distributors? And most important to the ignorance of this statement, do you know haw many drugs go right through the border stations?
