Patrick Moore, unlike the lie told by him and repeated by Fox News and Trump, is not a co-founder of Greenpeace. He has not been associated with that organization for ten years. Greenpeace wrote in a statement that while Mr Moore “played a significant role in Greenpeace Canada for several years back in early 2000, he was not responsible for founding the organization."

“Patrick Moore often misrepresents himself in the media as an environmental ‘expert’ or even an ‘environmentalist,’ while offering anti-environmental opinions on a wide range of issues and taking a distinctly anti-environmental stance,” the group said in a statement published on its website. “He also exploits long-gone ties with Greenpeace to sell himself as a speaker and pro-corporate spokesperson, usually taking positions that Greenpeace opposes.”

What is truly worrisome is that Trump has no filter when it comes to what Fox News purports; he just echoes their talking points with out question. Is that what we want a president to do, blindly repeat a talk show as a source for facts? “It is potentially catastrophic that the president of the United States gets his news on c*****e c****e from [Fox & Friends] appearances by an industry spox who falsely portrays himself as a Greenpeace co-founder,” Matthew Gertz, a senior fellow at Media Matters.

Lol, thank you for usually making it all about me by saying this fella upset me; we share something in common. Keep up the good work.

Fox News and Patrick Moore lied about his credentials, and deceived our president into rave tweets about him: he is not a co-founder of Greenpeace. He claims this accolade (if you call it that) to appear as a knowledgeable critic. But his close and monied ties to every possible industry over many years that has a big stake in debunking c*****e c****e is naturally suspect. He offers no science or actual rebuttals, just attacking the reports of those who agree with man-made c*****e c****e as "f**e science," from the playbook of Donald on the media.

That should be enough. But remember Trump's own adminsitration's report on c*****e c****e said it was true and a dire threat. That report was a non-partisan scientific appraisal of weather, a 1,600-page National Climate Assessment, which paints a dire picture of the coming effects of g****l w*****g. It was prepared with the input of 13 different federal agencies and 300 scientists. Trump might choose a better bedfellow when it comes to this topic.

Now... Having checked up on this Moore fella it does appear that he was among the inner circle that formed GreenPeace and was vital to the organization in its early (founding) years...
I would grant him the title of founder....

It bothers some people when individuals hold views that diverge from theirs...
We should all attempt to broaden our understanding rather than label anyone and everyone who shows disagreement as disingenuous...

Hmmm, you confer on him that he was a founder? Okay. Yes, he did a lot of work for that organization years ago but did not found it. Try to deflect the lie is expected. Anything to soften the blow to Fox News and the president for a falsehood. It is an alternative fact, t***slated untrue.

Yes, definitely. But I put that in context. Blind party alliance to the bias of country over party. We may rise above our petty prejudices and beliefs to resolve issues.

Unreal. Not worth a reply. But, okay. If you have read what I have said about c*****e c****e in your complete reading of all my posts in, what?, a half hour or so over, what? how many years, then you should know I insist on no political sides on this issue. It is too important. I insist for myself a neutral slot, as should the world. Recent posts on the subject will strongly attest to that claim, and prove your accusation wrong.
