I would like to comment on this issue.....Here is something to think about...THE DEATH PENALTY is NOT cruel and inhumane punishment...Locking people up in a small cell for the remainder of their life is CRUEL and INHUMANE punishment....DEATH IS A NATURAL OCCURRENCE that will happen to everyone sooner or later...SOOOO a punishment that speeds this occurrence up is not CRUEL........!!! INHUMANE..? maby?

You are right. Capital punishment is not Cruel and Inhumane. What is cruel and inhumane, is making society continue to keep alive and support a criminal, that through some sick act, k**led and destroyed the life of an innocent individual. The humane thing to do is to rid society immediately of a criminal that considers it OK to destroy the lives of others. I for one would love to see the criminal die in as close to as possible the same manor of death as he put his victims through. This has nothing to do about whether you are a christian or not but everything to do with societal justice and the well being of society. Oh and by the way before anybody gets on a stump out there my son was k**led at the age of nineteen by a hit and run driver that had three previous diving under the influence charges against him. He had no drivers license and of course no insurance. He drove up to the court trial by himself in a new minivan and when I told an officer of the situation he replied that he didn't see anything. My wife and I forgave him of his offense but we both wondered what will happen when he finished his prison sentence of 180 days in jail. Would he go back to his girlfriends bar from where he came that night or would he stop drinking and sober up. Maybe there will be someone else on a bike next time or maybe a family who knows. All that took place in the wonderful state of CA.

That is one very sad story, OR. It really threw me. Human nature hasn't changed. Can the worst happen here? Of course. It can happen anywhere at anytime. I see that I lived a rather guarded existence as a child and well into my twenties. A certain in-breed naivete to being upper middle class. What loomed as real and big were those stinking Russians, not my next door neighbor or our government. A clear threat I could focus my fear and h**e upon. Today, no clear focus. A frkn email could spell my doom, without having any real ill-intent. Crazy! Avoid movie theaters and malls. Oh, and don't work for the Post Office. Stay away from big cities. Make it a point of putting something over that little eye in your computer and don't say at any time these 133 words. Walk in public with that big nose, mustache, and glasses disguise if you want some measure of privacy as to your movements. Does it trick facial recognition? How knows but I like how little kids look and laugh at me.

Do you really avoid those things as you say? I do and have for some time. Of course, the biggest city I ever go into is Wichita, Ks. and that is only about 350,000 people. I wouldn't ever go there if it weren't for the need of specialist doctors.

As for the death penalty, I have always been for it except the way we don't enforce it has always bothered me.
