Border security...intelligent border security done in a comprehensive way takes time, as does the immigration reforms that go hand in hand. Trump as president does not get to shut government down for any one thing he wants, it's a dangerous and unconstitutional precedent, and McConnell could have prevented it by taking a v**e on the bill that would have kept government open. Congress does that work, not the fuhrer.

As President he not only has the authority but the responsibility to declare an emergency situation on our borders to preserve our safety and our sovereignty. Those things progressive a only give lip service to.
