yes Bernie,,, and my morning rush should last another 20 minuets or so..

do you truly think health care is income redistribution?? where does the term even come from..

forgetting for a moment about people like my who could not buy insurance..

It is a simply fact that early treatment of any medical condition is cheaper then letting it reach emergency status before rendering care.. Which was the alternative..

I guess we could go down a long list of policy and rant at each other as right of left wing nuts about the good or bad outlook.

but, rather I will simply try and lump some of my pov and say that the country needs a large and prosperous middle/working class to keep America strong..

If you continue to punish the lower end of the economy while gifting the top end, we will ruin ourselves and end up as the second rate nation we seem headed for now..

that said, I have to say that I think we also need some conservative policy to offset the input that could push us to another extreme..

Your Canadian is a wonderful backseat driver. It's easy for a country who does not have a problem to lecture another on how they should handle it. Like most Liberals, I hear lots of condemnation and not one damn doable solution. All you clowns know how to do is b***h. You have no idea how to fix.

I may have to look into this reading thing..

As a surprise for you, i also would not expect losing an e******n to give momentum to anyone ambitions for further e******ns.. but the pile of dems who have announced will be trimed in a few months and we can see who is serious and who is only wishing..

If I ever read a solution proposed by a right winger, then I will have to consider you comment..

I have one...Enforce the existing i*********n l*ws, and gun control laws. Strict enforcement would cut i*****l i*********n, and help with keeping firearms out of the wrong hands. When wetbacks get caught, make it hurt. Jail and hard labor, then deport their asses.

Indeed, he did not and on that one sensible note, I will say Good Night although I may not be able to sleep.

Well, surprise... I agree with you on that is something we should do..

one problem, illegal entry is only a misdemeanor so jail time is expensive and impracticable.

It's a misdemeanor the first time. The second time it is a felony. There is a long list of felonies that wetbacks routinely commit; using false ID, using stolen ID, working under the table, believe it or not it is a felony for a wetback to pay taxes, because they can only do so if they obtained employment illegally.
Illegal entry according to 8 USC 1325....

(a) Improper time or place; avoidance of examination or inspection; misrepresentation and concealment of facts
Any alien who (1) enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers, or (2) eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers, or (3) attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact, shall, for the first commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and, for a subsequent commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18, or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both.

So put their asses in jail at hard labor, (preferably building the wall) or some other endeavor that will benefit citizens and LEGAL aliens. Picking up their own damn trash would be a good start.

And, of course, as we all know, you will never consider a solution by a right winger as valid. You confirm William F. Buckley's observation liberal intolerance is not manifested just by hostility to other opinions but astonishment that even is another opinion.

But let us also throw the book at those who give the jobs these people come to this nation for..

what is good for the gander is good for the goose.. and to punish only those looking for work seems very much a short fall of action to end the incoming aliens..

Buckley had many things to say and a number were very astute..

However, to only the extremes that the right wing proposes is not only inefficient but detrimental to the ideals of our nation..

the strangest thing about many of the arguments on forums is that both side appose the same situations and wish for the same outcome in the future..

Looking at more than a single solution is a beginning for agreement and maybe resolution..

This is why we need E Verify. This would remove the excuse used by some employers that they were unaware that the hires were i******s. You cannot be prosecuted for unknowingly hiring wetbacks, and considering the Social Security Administration just stated there are at least 1.3 million wetbacks in this country using f**e and stolen ID's to obtain work and benefits, this is probably fair. E Verify would put one hell of a dent in the stolen ID's. Removal of the quasi-legal practice of granting birth citizenship to babies born to wetbacks in this country would remove another draw. The SCOTUS ruled in 1898 that birth citizenship can be granted to US citizens and foreigners maintaining a permanent legal residence in this country. A wetback cannot do this, nor are they subject to the jurisdiction in the meaning of the 14th Amendment, since they cannot v**e, pay taxes or be drafted. OR prosecuted for treason.

sounds like a plan... I have little understanding of e verify, but it seems good. have not read the "no" side..

Babies born on US soil are citizens... this I will agree with. it is the law and until that is changed, I have no trouble with this particular law..

Many other nations also have the same law or a version of it..

That's funny, I listen to things the Left proposes and routinely find them detrimental to this country and inefficient.

That is the purpose of E Verify. There are more than 1.3 million wetbacks currently in this country using stolen ID, by the Social Security Administration's own admission. Sometimes it is hard for the employer to tell. Knowingly hiring a wetback is different from being fooled by stolen or f**e ID.
