US senator Amy Klobuchar announced her candidacy. Minnesota Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar has announced she is running for president in the 2020 e******n.

Sen Klobuchar is one of the few remaining somewhat Moderate Democrats that are being pushed aside in the Democrat Party's rush to Socialism.

I wouldn't be surprised if she switches to the Independent Party like I did in 2008 and the CEO of Starbucks Howard Shultz has done this year. Maybe it's time for Moderates to join together and make a 3rd Party viable. As for now, we have Trump who is at least fulfilling promises he made on the campaign trail in 2016 and keeping Socialism in this country at bay.

And Permafrost's v**e for her... Another v**e taken away from the Progressive Democrats. That's one positive way of looking at it.

I bet you know how bills work, one version is passed in congress, then a version is passed in the Senate.
very often the content of the bills do not match and until they are passed it is rare that the full content is know.. so the statement by Pelosi is common.. in fact nearly the word for word was stated by some Republican on the trump care bill.. No doubt on purpose..

I believe AOC made a policy statement, not an introduction via a bill.

Several states have challenged that citizenship statement required on the census form..

Why? It is an attempt to scare some people from filling out the forms.. That in turn will reduce the representation of the area.. these tend to be democrat working class area and would reduce the power of the Democrat party.. It is a cousin of v**er suppression, but does not affect the v****g population, but the overall population of the area..

Perm, you just made a good point. If a person is scared of stating legal citizenship or not, they're most likely not a legal citizen and therefore shouldn't have representation.

The number of House Reps for each State is calculated on the number of people counted with the Census. Why would people be intimadated when filling out the Census Form by the question... of being a US Citizen.

what about all those who simply fear that ICE will show up and arrest not them, b ut people in the house who may or maynot be legal?

Who fear not for themselves but for others..

They fear ICE bashing in the door at 2 am and "checking" the accuracy of the census statement.

That is the expectation they have of the law, from birth in a banana republic to their time in these United States..
