Is it a projection that the border patrol and ICE say the wall/barrier is effective where there is one and that one is needed in other places? I spoke to an actual border patrol officer who said exactly that. Projection???? And thus is needed, effective and necessary, how can it be a "vanity" thing???? The only vanity I see about this is the dem's who are now against that which they ones campaigned on and even v**ed for in the past. Their vanity is their political efforts to keep Trump from having a victory in this.

When I look in the mirror, I see an objective individual who can see the past and thus, know the hypocrisy when I see it. That doesn't mean to say that the right do not do much of the same type of thing from time to time, but this is Trump, who as part of what he promised to do, building the wall was a big part. The need is still the same. Trump doesn't even fall into the same category as the politicians. And from what I have seen, he is much smarter.

I remember, Mike...from the 60s, my dad telling me that gold would soon become dominant with the return of the gold standard. Time is running long on that, also.

This isn't the 60s and your dad's timing was off. I don't know about a gold standard future...fractional reserve perhaps.

Petrodollar is the reason we went off "the gold standard" in 71 some are reporting and the petrodollar is on the way out.

We won't be the reserve currency much longer is what I'm seeing.

If I'm right. No petrodollar, no reserve currency, people, nations and corporations not taking out loans world wide. What happens?

A good many responses but not one comment on the fact that we are in a very vulnerable position now. The very people manning our boundries in the land sea and air are not being paid. Hell the FBI is unable to do their job. This is insanity and unnecessary. Some folks like my good friend Archie Bunker are really running scared because of all the hype about the Wall. Hell a good share of our southern border is already walled or fenced. Texas is 98% unfenced. The 5.7 billion wanted will build 259 miles of wall in Texas. Since Texas is the affected state let Texans pay for the wall. They should get it into their own senate and congress and force a v**e of the people on the issue. Since Texas is mostly Trump supporters the people of Texas will get the Wall that way and Texans will pay for it.

Running scared? No, not so much. But I DO want barriers wherever they are feasable. They aren't feasable in most of Texas because of the river. That's where manpower, technology, and gunpowder come in to play. And why can't everyone get together, and use a combination of ideas instead of democrat, or republican ideas. It's going to take a little of everything to properly get the job done. This playing politics with our safety is a bunch of bulls**t, and every time the Dems are given their way with a promise of more border security, it never happens. They never hold up their end of the bargain, and this time, they won't even bargain.

Common sense, t***h and national brotherhood Arch?

I wish that the Progressive dissenters could see it that way.

Instead it's just h**e anything Trump, without even considering the facts.

You make more sence than most. But how do you bargain with a someone who gives zero options and wants it their way or not at all? Compromising the national security of our country because you say we have to have national security is insanity. I do not put any thing past Trump. He is probably hoping something very bad will happen just so he can say "proves I'm right"

Tom, something bad happens to someone every day because of i*****l a***ns in this country.
I don't like the man either, but we need our border secured, and he's not asking for much comparatively speaking. I h**e that people are not getting paid, but that's a risk that comes with some government jobs. You know it, and I know it.
Political pissing contests are nothing new, and this one is over a few bucks and a promise.
Trump promised border security, and the left will sacrifice anyone they have to in order to not let him have it.
I think he's doing what's best for the country as a whole, and should stand his ground.

I know you don't agree, and that's ok. You're still a good man in my eyes!

All three agencies in place to protect our borders and country from invaders, so you’re in favor of a wall/fence/barrier. Tell that to the dem “leaders”. They oppose the wall because of their h**e for President Trump. They have no other viable reason to oppose it.

Ain't about the wall. That's my point. Money is fungible anyway as we should all take as a FIRST consideration before allowing ourselves to be distracted by bs.

Who gets it? This is simple.

Ya...they're doing what the Book said they would, right on time...thinking it's the right thing...being led by people who know otherwise and know exactly what they're doing. The Charlemagne Building? The Charlemagne Prize? The Charlemagne Page in the Economist? The Chernobyl Memorial?

G*******ts know they're supporting the devil's government. They give hints because it amuses them we're too stupid or refuse to see them.

Pretty much...it will become far plainer to all than it is now and "if I had not shortened the time no flesh would be saved". I felt time speed up a couple of times since 2015. I get it.

You are so decent and up front, Slatt, it's hard for you to imagine people could be so evil and at the same time look so reasonable. I have an insight...and I perceive the time to be perilous and predictable to a helpful degree if a person considered it. Educated guesses backed by history with a prophetic forward look believing what The Bible says will happen will happen. Easy. One only needs to be easily impressed...like wet clay.

But the ability to connect events, times, systems and influences into threads that lead in a particular direction isn't as common as I wish. Not everyone is still soft enough to be molded by the Potter. Not everyone wants to see, hear or understand.

It's easier if what I always thought turned out to be true.
