As some of the teens in my neighborhood have told me: I am old and out of the loop.

I hired some local teens to help with a project. As we were working, I was listening to them. Most of them have this idea that sex is a casual thing. They were talking about "hooking up" on a Friday night just because they had nothing else to do.

One of the young ladies told me she had only slept with 10 people. The girl is 16 years old. Maybe I am old fashioned but to me that is serious. Where do these kids get their morals or maybe I should say lack of morals? They see nothing wrong with their actions.

They see nothing wrong with their actions, because this is what is taught in school these days. Parents in most cases are just as guilty since they don't teach their kids anything and let the schools do it all.

My concern goes further... When the teenagers have a baby come along & now have to care for it, they'll almost certainly look to the Governments, Local/State/Federal to provide Monies & Clothing & Housing & HealthCare for the Newborn... and the Welfare State Will Increase...

When the president, of the once greatest country in the free world, stands in front of the world and announces that he approves of two men entering into matrimony, then all else in the name of depravity and debauchery is considered acceptable by anyone looking for an excuse to participate in degeneracy.

A delicate subject, I know, but one study of 60,000 HS students showed that anything but intercourse was not considered sex, as sex being the loss of virginity as its criterion.

I have known only two men that were gay. I met them in my early 20's and my mother had to explain the situation to me. They were nice people. I see no comparison between this and the immoral behavior of the young people.

you hit it right on target. I wish I knew what we could to do that would head it back in the right direction.

Grace,

Why don't you spend some time in the "gay" bath houses and bars in any major city and then decide if this is a good idea. Most research indicates that homosexual men have had at least 500 different partners, most only once, in their lifetimes. No homosexual men who have been "married" in this country have been monogamous for even one year into the "Marriage" and monogamy is not even considered a good thing with homosexual men. Yes, there are exceptions, a few, but not many according to their own research.

If "Grace" is - as I'm Assuming by her Given Name - a female, she wouldn't necessarily be "spending some time in the 'gay' bath houses and bars" to do the type of research you're suggesting... Actually, it sounds as if YOU HAVEN'T DONE THIS TYPE OF RESEARCH YOURSELF, but instead rely on Other People's Research, so why Suggest She Do Research You Haven't Done Yourself...

Unfortunately when you work with young teenagers who have been molested, as I do, doing the research ends up being part of the job.

Most perplexing about the statement made by Grace is that she is using an experience with only two sodomites to try and make a case to defend the entire horde of these despicable mammalians. It serves to indicate a diminished capacity in the implementation of a realistic sense of rationale.

I guess that is progress? There have been noticeable political and social shifts away from Christianity particularly the last decade that I observe is from:
-an over emphasis on the negative experiences of Christianity, and
-an over emphasis on nonbelievers rights as superior as opposed to equal.

I just think it is shifting the next generations into paganism and I hope there are enough Psychologists and Reverends to heal the wounds.

I wonder that tattoos and body piercings are highly admired, there's less belief in Christianity but a growing belief in spirits and there's relaxed views about intimacy? This reminds me of the historical social setting of pre-Christian Europe.

Below is another thought I recently posted on this subject:
