72% Are not capable to serve?! I remember my Army medical exam. Read a line. Which one? Anyone. Obesity, we had a few in basic training but all but one lost pounds but the one who didn't make it he \ did die trying. We even had a r****d and a mentally derange. The r****d went home right after the first command was given to fix bayonets. The mentally deranged lied at the range when he said ' No brass, no ammo. Latter that night he shot himself in the head but even that didn't work out well As he was carried to the awaiting truck he had a drill sergeant at each ear telling him he couldn't even k**l himself right . He died in route. Those were some good times

As usual the sweeping empirical blame on liberals when the blame lies with all of us as Americans.
This trend is no surprise. In my search for good employees, particularly younger people I find about one in thirty applicants is worth hiring and even then you have to contend with absurd expectations and self entitlement over wages punctuality and attendance.
The only remedy I see is the instatement of National Service, along the lines perhaps of the Israeli model. 12 months service for your country, a stint in the armed forces or work in a hospital or NGO or Conservation Corps. Starting right out of high school, 12 months of getting out of bed at 5am and being responsible for yourself and others, no junk food, cellphones or deferments for rich kids.

A fantasy but I can dream...

Not a bad idea. I do blame liberal policies. It’s not conservatives who came up with everyone gets a trophy. Everyone’s special. Anyone can be any sex they want. Being a young man with testosterone is somehow bad. Libs own this wussification of the US.

I actually agree with your remedy. The Israeli model wouldn't hurt the aimless, entitled, spoiled youth of this country one bit.

I don’t agree. Liberal and progressive ideas have sometimes gone off on clumsy tangents but modern western democracy was born out of a desire for change and above all else the improvement of the quality of life for the common man. The abolition of s***ery, the emancipation of women, the v****g rights act,
the new deal and social security were radical progressive liberal ideas and though imperfect in implementation are now part of our accepted way of life. Conservatism, while it provided a backdrop of stability and continuity
nonetheless footd**gged and obstructed needed change at times in a needless way that betrayed the fear that holds us all back if allowed to prevail.

They do this to weaken America who would imagine a bunch of sissy boys defending our country. Unfortunately, some of those sissy boys are really pretty damn mean not all but some. Not that I approve of their lifestyle but one must give credit where credit is due not all are weak and over the years I'm sure many have done this country proud without us knowing which they preferred

That should be a requirement of all high school graduates and 4 years service for non high school graduates.

We had one at Ft Leonard Wood MO. He never could March in cadence.
I Never forget Sgt yelling: "the whole damn platoon could be out of step and you'd still be out of step".
He didn't last long as I recall.
