The government regulated the airwaves during World War 1 as an anti-spy measure and then created a major revenue source out their regulations when radio took off after the war. Expanded government.
The bailed-out car companies are now under the thumb of government. Expanded government.
The highways are built with our tax money.
The schools are built and supported with local bond issues v**ed in and paid for by property owners, not the government. The government only mandates the propaganda taught in them.
City water systems are created with local bond issues v**ed for and paid for by property owners.
National parks are one of the few things that government has done for the public good and only then because people like John Muir, who founded the Sierra Club, pressured our worthless politicians into setting aside areas free from their predations, for the American public to enjoy. Our government deserves Zero credit for the creation of National Parks. We the People forced them to give them to us.

That's sure the t***h. The Federal Government hangs onto the rest because of the mineral wealth waiting to be tapped.
Back when the Indians were being herded onto reservations, the politicians did their very best to give them the most worthless land they could find. When oil was discovered on the reservations in Oklahoma the gummint tried to take the land back.
Anyone who trusts our government, regardless of who's in charge, really needs a wider world view.
