Thank you Peewee, I am glad you brought this up. My Poppa's library actually has a "bible" from India which includes all the books mentioned in the videos. If you look at the teaching of Jesus, he taught the Hebrew laws.... everything he said, although said in terms that could be easily understood by everyone of his time, came directly from the books that he studied at the Temple. So, Christianity was not that different from the Judaism during that time.
The changes came after the death of the original prophets or apostles. Most of the separation came from Saul...

Interesting that you have found these books and actually took an interest.... if we still our heart and mind, we can be lead.... These books were preserved for a reason.

Not so interesting, we both thirst after God and righteousness and want to know our creator as much as possible. These books were preserved for the last days is what I believe. One last great harvest of souls before the rapture/harpaz. There is also many who are falling away among Protestants, occultism is sneaking into our churches. I believe the church is the believers and not a building or denomination. A better word is probably assembly or congregation. Kind of an Earthly copy of the divine counsel. All of one accord.

Your welcome! Jesus never contradicted the Torah because He gave the Torah to Moses and He was one of the three who Abraham fed when Sarah laughed. That's what Christians believe. Not everything He said was easily understood, He spoke in parables a lot and even His disciples didn't understand what He was saying a lot of the time. Saul/Paul had a special commission given to him and he carried it out, he was obedient, he loved God. He was also a Jew and a Roman citizen, from Greece I think. He was uniquely qualified to spread the gospel to the gentiles. Nathan and David cleared up some of my thinking on why Christians can't become Jews and move to Israel even if we're not Moabites. The Jews are special, you belong to God, you're the first to get blessed and the first to get punished, an example for all the nations.

I discovered a new nugget the other day. I always wondered why Joab turned against David. They were related and he was the son of David's sister and uncle to Tomar. He turned on David, as far as I can tell, over how David dealt with the rape of Tomar. He waited years to get revenge. She must have been as loved by him as his own daughters.

Maybe you can help me with something that confuses me. Today you are considered a Jew through the mother. Wasn't it through the dad originally? Why and when did it change? Maybe that's why Jesus's lineage is explained through both Joseph and Mary.

I like this if we can keep from getting upset with one another we, or, I might learn a lot from our different understandings.
Audios for now. I'm starting to nod off.

Peewee,

Why would the bloodline of Joseph even be considered..... he was the stepfather of Jesus. It is important for legal reasons only. It is not important for fulfillment of prophecy.

You are a Jew if your mother is a Jew because only the mother knows for sure who fathered her child.... therefore is the only true person who can swear the bloodline. And then it gets complicated to explain because your father passed on titles and property, under old laws. So, for purpose of courts.... legal reasons, your "inheritance" came from the father. Your status of bloodline comes from your mother. A can of worms..... a stepfather could pass up a stepson, even if he is the oldest, and bless a 'natural' son with inheritance or titles. Or a father could 'adopt' a child (totally unrelated) so he could pass on titles and inheritance, as in the case of Jeconiah. So... being a Jew for legal reason came from the father. The change came from passage of laws, there are no kings or royalty after the second fall of the Temple, so passing on titles is not a matter of concern. Women are now legally equal to their husband and (unlike in the times of Jesus) can own their own property and will that property to their children. So, the 'legal' side is no longer a concern. A child can inherit from either parent, step parent, grandparent, or even a complete stranger (providing it is in their will and natural children are provided for).

I hope this helps and did not further confuse the issue.

We both know that Joseph was the step-dad but if he wasn't descended from David someone like Dan Brown and others would have made up a lot of lies about it. There are plenty of fake gospels floating around. I think there are four different Enochs floating around. The owner of Hobby Lobby purchased millions of dollars of fake Dead Sea Scrolls. Counterfeiting is a very lucrative business as was the binary options scam. Even social security is a pyramid scheme. Crooks and liars seem to be everywhere. Especially in government.

You answered the lineage question to my complete satisfaction. Legal versus blood makes perfect sense and that unconfuses it for me.
Thanks for answering my questions and I'm sure I'll come up with more that will make me look and sound really dumb. Try and be patient with me. My dad wasn't a rabbi or a preacher and I can't read Hebrew. That's the first and last time I'll make an excuse for my ignorance.

Had you viewed the Sinai video before? Or seen the one on Elijah's alter?

Okay, this is totally unrelated to our faiths or the Torah. Don't know your taste in music but I ran across this guy and I believe he is the greatest singer I have heard in my lifetime. Give him a listen and you can throw a tomato at me later if you don't like it.

There are NO dumb questions or dumb people. We all have knowledge that is unique to us... a carpenter knows how to bend wood into what is needed... a car mechanic may not know how to build a bookcase but can listen to your car and know what is wrong and can fix it. A computer programmer may not know how to talk to others, but can understand 0 and 1. I may not know how to dance, but I know how to milk a cow... We all have our gifts! So.... always ask question.... that is what a wise person does. A foolish individual think they know everything.

As for forgeries... yes, and back 6,000 years ago we were warned about fakes... fake prophets,, fake documents, and fake people. But, in my opinion... G*d has not stopped talking to us and guiding us.... we have forgotten how to listen. If you have doubts about a document, listen to your heart... that is where the voice of G*d can be heard.

You and I share the admiration for Dimash, I posted this same video back a few months ago. He can hit notes.... so pure. Have you seen this one....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuBNHV5V1W8

Okay, if you have read some of my posts over the last few years you know that I have a sense of humor that may not be suited to your sensibilities. There really are some dumb people in this world and I have met too many of them. I know God didn't make them that way, they worked at it. God would call them fools, I call them dumb.

I've milked a mare once who lost her colt and a goat but can't ever actually recall milking a cow. Never was around a dairy breed.

Every time I listen to my heart I get burned or taken to the cleaners. Maybe it's a woman thing, I have to listen to logic, when I have a serious problem or need an answer I pray until I get goosebumps and the hair on my arms stands up, then I know the Spirit is near and listening and then I pray until I feel peace. I can usually tell if the answer is yes or no to my prayers and no I have never heard the audible voice of God. That's how I pray.

Yes, I have heard all of Dimash's songs posted on YT. The one you posted and S.O.S are my two favorites. How could anyone stop after just one or two? Maybe a preview of what angels sound like. Did you watch the voice coaches reactions to his voice, some are pretty funny. One guy said well I use to think I had a pretty good voice, Dimash just crushed that part of my ego.

Well Peewee we have different likes in music I see. That guy can hit the high notes for sure but if I closed my eyes I couldn't tell if it was a he as he sounded like a she. He did have quite a range with his voice though. Also if I can't understand the words it makes it difficult for me to appreciate but the audience sure seemed to like it though. I am interested in this study as well all though I must admit that I have never read any of these books but will sit in and absorb the knowledge of others and try to read them as we go along.

Well, Bahm, that's okay. It's why they make different kinds of ice cream. Not everyone likes the same thing. I can't carry a tune in a bucket but he does sing in different languages.

Not sure if he knows five like our beautiful classy first lady but he does okay. Even most women can't hit his high notes and most men can't hit his low notes and no one has his range and most would ruin their vocal cords if they tried. He makes it all look so effortless.

Sorry to hear about your eyes. Hope you don't have diabetes, that was how I discovered I had it. My eyes started getting tired all the time. I take vitamin D3 to help protect them and it seems to have helped. They haven't become any worse. When was the last time you had your eyes checked you might be developing cataracts? I'll try and remember to not post long paragraphs so you can read them easier. Whose music do you like?

I had the eyes checked about two years ago and I do have cataracts but he said it would be down the road for quite some time before I have to worry about surgery. As far as the music is concerned I was born on 1943 so my type of music is the old rock and roll and country western style as I grew up with Elvis and that era. No diabetes so far but I do have doctors checkups every three months for high blood pressure.

Good to hear, I think you are supposed to get them checked every year. That's what my doctor tells me. If I had to name my favorite singers it would have to be Merle Haggard, Don Williams, and Marty Robbins but I like a little of most everything.

I don't really have a particular favorite if it hits me just right it is one that I will listen to over and over again then it is a favorite until something else comes along. I listened to C&W for awhile then Rock and Roll then Hawaiian but I like Country and Western the best then Rock and Roll and then Hawaiian then other stuff.

Let's see, that sounds like Bob Wills, Texas Playboys, maybe Sons of the Pioneers, Jerry Lee, Carl Perkins, Bill Haley, and Don Ho.

Was I even close?

I really don't know the names of the artists because I listen sometimes to a C&W station on the radio and what comes on comes on. When I was visiting in Hawaii after my wife passed I listened to Hawaiian music then. My oldest daughter lives in Maui. Aside from that I grew up in the 50's and 60's so that is some of the best music around for me. You know Charlie Brown and songs like that as well as old Elvis songs and other artists around the time of Dick Clark and the American Bandstand.
