It was clearly not intended to offend anyone. But in this day and age, offense is taken by snowflakes for almost anything under the sun. Since wh**ever you say, someone might be offended, I try to not be offensive but no longer go out of my way trying not to offend anyone.

My posts are very dry and not read by most because they tend to be too long to hold their attention. They also tend to be academic.... which also cause my comments to go unanswered. I try to be mindful of the feeling of the participating members, and this is where I come up short. I rarely consider that others may join the discussion. As I said, it is damn hard to avoid hurting someone's feelings or excluding their beliefs and customs. I am not good in being politically correct, and I buck that system at every opportunity. So, you may see where I will pipe in supporting a Liberal ..... and you will see me supporting Conservatives.... to me, I do not blindly support any political party, I try to error on the side of supported facts and the t***h. And that also gets me in trouble because events are not sedimentary, there are times when additional information comes to light and I have to go back and amend a comment. I have no problem with this, but I have been called wishy-washy for doing so.

In short, I am boring! One of the reasons I follow you is because you have the vinegar to say what is on your mind, return tit for tat, and you have the data to back up what you write.
