My guess would be that if all of the laymen had the bible or holy scriptures they couldn't lie and get away with it. Since no one had the bible who was to know the truth all they had to do is decree it and the laymen would follow because what else could they do they had nothing to challenge the church with. Then it became the old ruse of follow the money or power to find out the truth of the Roman Catholic Church and it's teachings. You can then have oral traditions and apostolic traditions and then traditions up the hind end until you want to scream stop.

Slowly more and more of the Catholic churches evils are being revealed and the member count (those attending church-mass) have been in a downward spiral that is causing the church great concern.
With all the information of the nearly two thousand years of hundreds of millions of murders, tens of thousands of child rapes, baby sacrifices, black masses, satanic rituals, false teachings revealed, it's beyond my ability to rationalize how there is zero effect on Radiance3, Doc110, Padremike. One would think a light would pierce the darkness.

As difficult as it is, we have to remember "seed planting" and usually seed planters never get to witness the growth, but the Holy Spirit works on their heart, mind and soul if it be God's will. We never know who's heart is hardened and God just gives them over to their false God's.

Yes that makes perfect sense. If more people had access to the written word then more people would question the doctrine and their grip on power wouldn't be as strong. People stay in the Catholic church because its familiar. I know many question it but don't take any further steps. I know many Catholics.

There are many, many watchman on Wall sounding the trumpet, the end of the church age is "us" and of the many men and woman walking with God that have a loud voice on the Radio, internet, TV, God has you. You choose to follow him above all else, first over any pressures of leaving the church.
God does have a wonderful purpose for you. It takes a special heart, love, patience, and motive to serve our Lord Jesus to witness to the cults.

During the Reformation in the 15th century, when Martin Luther was deciding to remove books from the Bible, these words in the book of Maccabees had so clearly favored Catholic teaching, that the whole book was removed from the Protestant Bible. Unfortunately for Protestants, even if they feel that the book was not inspired, it still tells us of the practice of God’s chosen people, the Catholics.
