Olongapo? You poor devil, how did you endure that kind of naval battle? Every night you had to swither and sweat as to what dive would get your hard earned next. I know this from personal experience and you have my respect for being a P.I. survivor. Nobody in the States could possibly understand the hell us sailors and Marines go through, just knowing there were so many beautiful woman and so little money or liberty calls.

God bless ya my brother, you have me crying in my beer tonight!

I fell in love almost every night there so, I know the allure those Filipino women have. God only knows what I would have done, had my future wife not been waiting for me back at Pearl.

I have learned one thing alex, it doesn't matter what race, color or creed they are, they all just mark time until we're a worm feast!

Amen?

Since I am not Christian, I have been asked what I believe. The foundation of my faith is found in the following:

Courage- exhibit courage in all forms. esp standing up for what you believe to be right regardless of obstacles and opposition.

T***h- be honest with all people even yourself. Try to never lie even if lying is easier.

Honor- hold true to your word. Keep all promises, act on your convictions.

Troth- loyalty Be true to your God, yourself, your family, and your friends.

Self discipline- Rule your actions by the strength of your convictions.

Hospitality- Always be generous with your God, your family, your friends and your fellow man. Share your gifts, your protection, your loyalty, and your possessions .

Industriousness- work with dedication and commitment. Don't be half- hearted in your efforts.

Self Reliance- Trust in yourself and your own resources. Rely upon others as rarely as you can.

Perseverance- Be stubborn. don't give up until you have accomplished what you set out to do and have accomplished it well.

I don't always live up to these virtues but I try.

Excellent beliefs and praiseworthy--but to what end?

Interesting WC, but most people here in America speak english as their first language (even though that too is rapidly changing) not Hebrew.

Yeshua is the Hebrew name for the Lord. It means "Yahweh [the Lord] is Salvation." The English spelling of Yeshua is “Joshua.” However, when t***slated from Hebrew into the Greek language, the name Yeshua becomes Iēsous. The English spelling for Iēsous is “Jesus.”

Basically, what this means is Joshua and Jesus are the same name. One is t***slated from Hebrew into English, the other from Greek into English. It is also interesting to note, the names "Joshua" and "Isaiah" are essentially the same names as Yeshua in Hebrew. They mean "Savior" and "the salvation of the Lord."

Calling oneself Christian by definition means "a person who believes Jesus is the Christ". A person who believes Jesus is the Christ would also surely acknowledge first that they are a sinner and in need of Christ as their Savior. I think people that declare a denomination is much closer to what you see as a religious person and, those that have been and are indoctrinated by a religious organization. I see Catholicism as people that see themselves as religious, but would freak if you called them Christians, because they're Catholics afterall. I don't see the homeless as the quintessential example of someone being closest to Christ. It's what you believe, not what you have or don't have that determines whether or not you are saved by grace. A church leader who is a millionaire can be just as lost as a penniless homeless person, whether or not they call themselves Christians or believers.

Well, my problem is this. God created everything, and also created Adam and the Eve. They had two children named Cain and Able. Cain k**led Abel leaving only three people alive on earth. Cain was kicked out to Nod east of Eden, and met his wife and a village of people. He had a son named Enuch. I ask, how in the hell did the village happen? I only see three people alive after Cain k**led Able, so were did all the people come from?

I had heard of it but never saw it used I went to Barbers Point for shore duty but six months after I got there they sent me on a deployment to the worst place they could find "Olongopo" for three weeks when I got back they ask me if I wanted to change to sea duty when I ask what the difference was they said nothing I was still going to go on deployments and I did fourteen of them in the next eighteen months then they decided I was enjoying them too much so they stopped sending me, they did extend my tour there by six months so I would get the required three years sea duty but I went from there to the Midway in Japan anyway so that made eight years sea duty in eight and a half years

Olongopo, Great place, I spent a lot of time there in the 60's. I even took one of my R&R's there from the Nam. My favorite place was the 16-22 club. They had the coldest beer and the ugliest women in town. 25 centavos a beer.

Ahhhhh this is just too easy to answer richard but, glad you asked anyway.

The Bible is not a history of mankind in toto. It tells about how man was created and then, how God chose His people, i.e., the Jews and His interaction with them. The focus in the Bible on Adam and Eve, is because they were the FIRST.

Jesus is the last.

So also it is written, "The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual.

1 Corinthians 15:45-46

So your belief that after Able was k**led there were only three left on earth is a fallacious one. Understand?

Adam was the first man, not the ONlY man...

God bless!
