What I wrote wasn't a quote from the Bible. I believe you already know that. It is a reference to how/why many conserves feel THEY are "entitled;" because it's what God wants them to have. If you haven't heard of the "prosperity gospel," you're living in a bubble.
Anyone who BELIEVES the "prosperity gospel" has been living in a rabbit hole, without access to a Bible.
I doubt many conservatives believe it.
One would have to be completely ignorant or desperate, possibly both.
Jesus warned His followers the world would h**e them (all Christian believers) because it is under the temporary influence of the "god of this age," who is Satan.
John 15:18: "If the world h**es you, you know that it has h**ed Me before it h**ed you."
John 15:19: "If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world h**es you."
John 17:14: "I have given them Your word; and the world has h**ed them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world."
1 John 3:1: "Do not be surprised, brethren, if the world h**es you."
God did not promise us a rose garden here on earth.
What we do have is the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, a permanent relationship with Him through Jesus Christ, and an eternal future with Him.
