the nature of some humans always grows worse. It is up to all of us to make sure our personal nature doesn't fit into that category. We can do nothing about the nature of others, if they do not wish to change. We can however, ignore them on this, and other sites.

Maybe, but we can't ignore what they are doing at e******n time. It could be that debate is a waste of time and it could also be that there are some undecided, thoughtful people who are weighing the merits of the different positions.

Why should they have to give up anything, just for the benefit of someone who's a societal leach and doesn't deserve anything. It's NOT their job to take care of others.
Besides, it's in the Bible; God WANTS the rich people to be rich. It's called the "prosperity gospel." If God wanted the others to be rich, He would've made them rich, too! It's all part of God's doing and His creation.

What I wrote wasn't a quote from the Bible. I believe you already know that. It is a reference to how/why many conserves feel THEY are "entitled;" because it's what God wants them to have. If you haven't heard of the "prosperity gospel," you're living in a bubble.

Anyone who BELIEVES the "prosperity gospel" has been living in a rabbit hole, without access to a Bible.
I doubt many conservatives believe it.
One would have to be completely ignorant or desperate, possibly both.
Jesus warned His followers the world would h**e them (all Christian believers) because it is under the temporary influence of the "god of this age," who is Satan.
John 15:18: "If the world h**es you, you know that it has h**ed Me before it h**ed you."
John 15:19: "If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world h**es you."

God did not promise us a rose garden here on earth.
