I believe it was the excuse needed under breech of contract ... Along with the fact her ratings never materialized as they thought her followers would do...

I read an article yesterday that said the only issue remaining was if they were going to fight the 69 million they are in for with her..

That’s why I suggested it may be a set up for breach of contract where in if they win they would not allow it... Actually depends on the verbiage of her contract.

I don't get the impression she knew or was thinking about the context of what blackface refers to, I didn't. I told my wife I went as a Halloween Blackula Vampire, my face was blacked out with the blackest makeup you've ever seen and I had a great red lined cape and teeth. People would laugh so hard it hurt when they saw it, most people got the Blackula thing from the movie. In fact I got best costume at a big party put on by and for graphic designers who go all out on costumes. That would to this day be an acceptable costume, and screw anyone who has a problem with it, it is done without insult to black people intended, as Megyn said, as long as you go as something.

Blackface was a thing, it was intentionally meant to portray all of the stereotyped bad characteristics, lazy, stupid, ignorant, sloppy habits, Amos and Andy played to that theme. It was offensive, and it was meant to be.

I don't think she was thinking about that blackface when she made her comment about going as black things as a kid. Going as a blackface ridiculing b****s would not be acceptable.

Firing her was a ridiculous over reaction, they could have used it as an editorial teaching moment about what the unacceptable version was and is.

I had to laugh because for once she was being honest and she was fired for it. She will survive because she has an ego as big as the moon. And yes, their sensibilities have become inflamed. Some, however, are opening their eyes to the t***h and don’t wish to continue living on the Democrat Plantation. I guess they’re the ones who wear whiteface?

It's almost like NBC was looking for something...anything...to get rid of her. She turned on her fans when she attacked Trump at the debates, and the left never really liked her. Now she has no fan base.

It wasn't the black face for me, it was the two face that turned me against Megyn Kelly. She turned lefty on us, and then failed in her attempt to mainstream it. Pretty, witty, pretty s**tty.
Take your 69 million and move to Venezuela where you need them and they need your money. Put your money where your philosophy is.

I want you to know that I had three children with Megyn before she went left! I mean we, my wife and I, watched her during the three times she was with child and shared in the joy of her children and motherhood. There was a time when she was very, very good at what she did as a conservative. I'm still not certain how far left she travelled. I only watched her a couple times after she left FOX and that was more accident than design.

Makes me wonder what happened to her personally. Why did she change so quickly? Why did she desert her fans suddenly? I don't want to believe she did it for money, but that's what it looks like. And if that's the case, she deserves what she is getting.

I don't know what is dignified with being sexually harrased at Fox. I would tell the whole world if it happened to me. I think Ms Kelly could have ridden out her political incorrect display if her ratings had been good. They were terrible. I don't think NBC put her in a position whear she could shine. She was miscast I was wondering how long she was going last. Now I know. Maybe they will try to recap their investment, but I think they will dump her. I do think she will be back someplace else on TV again.

I think it was a ploy by NBC to lure Kelly to their network after she showed the world she was ready for establishment news by abandoning her fans at the Trump debate. They gave her weak spots (Sunday night opposite 60 Minutes...early morning against Today GMA, etc.)

They have effectively rid themselves of her and the news world by showing her weakness. She's gone - she has no fan base now. NBC effectively brought down the "Great" Megyn Kelly, NBC's once powerful rival is now a small piece of toast.

I'm disappointed that Megyn bought the kool aid. But she did and it's her funeral. Maybe down the road we will hear why she did this? I would be interested in knowing why.

My sentiments exactly. This is a lot about nothing. Political correctness is going to destroy America. I long for the days when you could say what you thought and if it offended someone you were just thought to be stupid or insensitive.

Was a time I enjoyed her commentary and good judgement in how she handled herself..

I think the beginning of her demise came climbing that corpirate ladder and to hell with who she had to go through for it.. Greed and fame sunk in rather than holding on to her moral ethics.... She thought being at critical odds with Trump sealed her success and when her viewer numbers didn’t go up as expected she became more desperate and cut throat.. I read she was unbearable to work with and rude to many to the point of being insensitive to co~workers..

I lost respect and interest for her in the Trump debacle and when she left Fox knew her time was short lived..
She is only getting back what she dished out.. Karma~~~
