But I think that particular verse is tailored especially for us, since the governance of this nation was given by Him to us.

Consider it in the light of Solomon's wisdom in Ecclesiastes where it says "a time for peace, a time for war" and "every purpose under heaven".

I've explained to Bob what he's been seeing is pushback.

Everyone he supports is hell-bent, literally, on this one-world government thing that God says is not of Him. The pushback is. Sorry much of it isn't pretty. That's just the nature of such things.

Given world history and what happens when power is concentrated it takes no imagination or spiritual enlightenment to see exactly where this will lead.
